We just ordered there, I’m writing this after we’ve ate in.
Pros: They have seating, AC in store with good music. Their adverts are up to date. Cold fridge (we got bottled drinks). Two workers on staff, they were nice.
Cons: Parking, located semi behind the store. Parking lot area riddled with trash. Tables are dirty, when we entered there was a couple in there eating but about 5 tables had food and crumbs on top and on the flooring. Lettuce was beyond wilted. Serving baskets were sticky, didn’t appear to have been washed. Dead flies on the window sill. Caked lint on the fan blades (thankfully they weren’t on). Hand written signs for pricing (seemed old and not dusted) *I understand this is a franchised owner. Huge empty non working fridge in plain sight as well as racks not utilized just stored in the dining area. Cookies seem old so we opted out. Soda fountain machine area unkept (reason for the bottled drinks selection). Trash not removed, piling.
They weren’t busy, but there were two workers (we could only assume they were the owners)-just sitting on their phones. They could have utilized the down time to clean their facility and for the love of everything good-replace OLD veggies. We stayed and ate in just in case, they were doing other productive things so we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt..needless to say, they weren’t and didn’t clean at the least bit. We wouldn’t come again. First and last time.

Read moreThis might be the slowest Subway I have ever went to. There were three families in line and only one worker on a Friday around 5 pm. The lady loudly said, "You guys are just going to have to wait a second because I have an order that just came in online that needs to come first" and she showed us her iPad. The family ordered multiple sandwiches online and she made one sandwich at a time at a snail's pace taking a minute to lay down each piece of meat, cheese and vegetable. I'm talking it took her about 10 minutes to make one sandwich. Normally when a Subway employee puts one sandwich in the toaster oven, they start on another sandwich. She just stood there and waited for it twiddling her thumbs. She definitely didn't utilize her time very well. We were there for about 45 minutes and she didn't even start on the first family that was there before us. The family in line behind us eventually left then we left to a few minutes later. We saw them again at a Dairy Queen down the road which had good and fast service! I want to feel bad for this lady because she was working all by herself but it was like she was not...
Read moredo NOT go to the Subway at 135 E Ireland Rd in South Bend IN. Me and my fiance went in to get two footlong subs, the worker Diane she is very old, maybe lates 60's. As she went to toast my bread she left my fiances sub sitting, in that time frame we look over and there is knats crawling all over his bread we brought it to her attention she then shoed them away! he simply at that point obviously asked for a new bread and she told him no she would not get him new bread, then proceeded to ask me what i wanted on mine I then told her nevermind and that I no longer was going to buy from that store after how rude she was and to not want to replace the sandwhich after there were bugs crawling all over his bread the fact she shoed them away and refused to give him new bread just blew my mind. How disgusting! Shame on her so not only did she have to throw mine out since it was toasted but I then watched her put his turkey and cheese back in container to be served and put the bread right back on the rack for the next person to get when they order that type!...
