T. Allen's King Gyros — Restaurant in South Bend

When I travel out of town I like to eat local or at the least someplace we don't have at home. Right next to the place my son wanted was T. Allen's King Gyros. Gyro caught my attention, could there really be a fast-food gyro? The lady taking my order was great, when I changed my mind about something she was like, "don't worry about it honey" usually when someone calls me honey, I cringe. Here I felt like that's just the way we are, friendly and helpful. I ordered the Gyro Platter, not quite sure what all it came with. Keep in mind they had barbecue, hot dogs, hamburgers and gyros on the menu. Well, the food container smelled so good. When I opened it up I saw a pile of fries, 2 pita breads, feta cheese, onions, a good sized side of tzatziki sauce and a huge pile of meat. I went for the traditional meat, they also had chicken. It was delicious! And I had so much meat left over, I wish I had 2 more pitas! I was happily delighted at the meal and wish we had one in my home town. To start the food is great. I've had both drive through and take out in the past. However today, i ordered teh Gyro Special plater and it feels like such a scam. They immediatly offered me an additional pita. I asked how many came with it, remembering there's at least 2 or 3 pictured on the website online order system, and I'm positive they said 4, so i declined an extra for since it was extra money. I got to work 20 minutes away , and found there was only 1 pita included. There's enough other food for 2-3 or more, but only one pita. I called to ask and was just bluntly told "nope there's only one. If you're close you can come in and BUY another one". Even with the food quality, it seems like such a up-sell scam. Other gyro places offer comprable quality food at similar prices without the nickle and dime upgrades needed to actually enjoy...

went there tonight & the lady at the register was very rude I asked her for a side salad and mozzarella sticks told her no onions or peppers in the salad and she told the cooks without peppers and onions my boyfriend ordered a number 3 with everything it comes on it add lettuce and tomato and the girl acted dumb founded like she didn’t know what we were talking about saying “ so you only want tomato and lettuce and that’s it and then we asked her what all comes on the number 3 just to make sure she then repeated our order as if that’s what we asked her !! ... then we get home my mozzarella sticks were cold they gave me bbq with my sticks instead of marinara sauce and my salad was old and slimy and I didn’t get the cheese that came on it !!!
