1st time going to China Kitchen, on store front it's Asain Kitchen. Not very friendly folks. Ordered shrimp egg foo young and vegi rolls. The one positive the food was hot. The vegi rolls were no bigger than my thumb, OK another positive there were 2 of them so I had 2 thumbs for a 1.00 ... Hardly any rice but wait another positive, the rice was sooooo over cooked and soooooooo mushy, 2 egg foo young patties, patties were under cooked, they were awful, really really awful, they will give you a decent amount of gravy but unfortunately you won't need it, it was sooooo salty. So all in all can't remember that last time I spent 10.00 bucks so... Wait did I say spent... sorry!! .. can't remember the last time I walked into a business gave them 10.00 and walked away. Eat here at your own risk , you'll remember this review but by the time you do you will already be out of pocket. Money comes and money goes, so spend it someplace else, this place...
Read moreOverall, I'd give Asisan Kitchen 4½ stars, and I'll try them again in the future. Service was friendly and fast, even though I was a walk-in. I didn't wait long at all aftering ordering. The spring rolls were crispy bites of delicious, not greasy at all. The egg roll was tasty and crunchy, but slightly mushy inside, although it might have suffered a little from the trip home. Beef on a stick and steamed dumplings were excellent.
However, both I and my grandson were disappointed by the kung po chicken. (C14) He wouldn't even touch it, and he's the one who specifically wanted it. When he opened the tray, his reaction was "what the _ is THAT _ !?" I had to agree with him. I've --never-- had kung po with brown sauce, and was quite surprised to see it swimming in the stuff. It also had no "bite" whatsoever, there were no pepper pods or even flakes that I could see. It wasn't -bad- just entirely different from what we...
Read moreBland. Saw this restaurant many times, finally tried it. Ordered online so when I arrived about 10 minutes later, they had a print out of my order. I noticed they had a lot of items not on the online menu. Staff was friendly, so I tipped. Even though I ordered online, I had to wait at least another 10 minutes. This seemed strange to me because a few other customers ordered at the counter and received their food faster than I did. Received my food and went home. One item was completely wrong. I had ordered Mongolian Beef, and it turned out to be some beef and veggies thing. Very bland. The sweet & sour chicken was also very bland. But, the chicken was cooked nicely. Crip outside. The one decent item I tasted was the Mu Shu Pork. Good flavor. So, due to one out of three items being good, and the long wait, I give it two stars. I was hoping for more. Maybe I'll try again another day to see if this was...
