PITA Mediterranean Street Food - Greenville — Restaurant in Mauldin

Tried to call in an order while out and about. I was told to hold on. I was left hanging on for several minutes. I could literally hear the guy taking other people's orders and transactions while I was left on the phone. I finally just hung up, and tried calling back several times. Each time I tried calling back , the phone never rang, but instead went directly to an automated message saying the voicemail had not been set up for that number. In other words, the phone hadn't been hung up from when I called. So it was still sitting there "on hold" in the restaurant. The person obviously totally forgot that they left me sitting on the phone (and wasn't even aware that I'd had hung up). I finally just had to place my order inside the restaurant when I arrived. The guy that left me hanging on the phone was messing around on his cell phone at that moment! I told the cashier what had just happened and he overheard it. The cashier picked up the cordless phone that was laying beside the register, looked at it, put it to her ear, and then put it back down and asked him if he'd had a call. He gave some excuse about how busy they had gotten (mind you, the restaurant only had 2-3 tables of customers at that time) and said,,"I'm sorry". All of this to say, it's probably not good for business to leave customers hanging on the phone and then forgetting about them. Thats...

The first time I ordered from here it was great and I was able to call after placing order and request no onions. Today when I ordered the same meal, no one answered, after me calling 5 times to ask for no onions. There was not anywhere on my order to make that request.After receiving my order, no silverware included, there was a small portion of rice, lettuce, 5 grilled nugget’s, and a few peices of pita bread. I was very unhappy so I drove from Haywood Road to woodruff Road in 5 pm traffic to ask why they weren’t answering the phone and why the portion of food looked like this compared to last time I ordered. The girls response was “ yea we aren’t answering the phone sometimes and today we didn’t cut the chicken up.” I just stayed, asked for a fork and ate my food there before it got more cold. I will never order from here again.I hate that I spent the money on did on such a poor meal and had to drive there in traffic because they don’t answer their phones. I would have liked for them to have offered to make things right with me by remaking the meal. Both employees just stood there looking at me. I will never order from here again and don’t recommend anyone...

I'm here to change my review! Since I complained about the house sauce, I went back to see if things had changed and they have! I took 2 new people with me and they loved the food as well. I ordered a side of house sauce and the serving cup was almost full, so the owner or manager did what he said he'd do! So I'm recommending this restaurant. Get the chicken schwarma plate, use the house sauce on it and you'll see why I've gone at least every week to eat here!!!

The food is really good!!! Biggest irritation I have with this place....when you order a side of house sauce, for almost one dollar, they give you about 1 spoonful. It comes in a tiny little plastic container and they only fill it about 1/3 full. It's not even enough to use for the whole meal. I went back to ask for another and the employees looked at me like I was crazy. That sauce cannot possibly be that expensive! Fill up the little container, for Pete's sake! We pay for it and barely get any. I've been there at least 5 times in the past month, it's my new favorite. But I'll go elsewhere if they don't make it right.
