Buddy's Burgers & Martha’s Ice Cream — Restaurant in South Carolina

Cashier said my to go order was being worked on. I took a seat to wait. Watched the cashier leave and go clean tables. That's all good. What's not good is not checking back to see if the to go order was ever ready. Finally after seeing the staff had stopped cooking, I asked if the to go order that had been sitting there for about 5 minutes was mine. Turns out it was and I let the guy know that the cashier knew I had been waiting for an order and never came back. He apologized and then said "Did you tip online". Seriously? Not did I pay, but did I tip. Got home, the food was cold and fries were hard. I was irritated with the cashier not checking to make sure I received my order and the bagger not checking to see if anyone was waiting on the food. Customer service will make or break your establishment. I've visited this establishment on several occasions and most recently three times within the last two weeks. Today was the worst customer service experience I've had and I don't think I'll return. So the waitress is packing mh to go order while I watch. The cook says to here i thought those fries were for her. She says no these are for my customer outside.. no big deal I'll take the one with less fries I probaby won't eat them all anyway. She then calls my name for my to go order and I'm literally reaching for the bag and she sits my bag on the counter.. the cook looks at me and I look at the cook.... Needless to say I think this was my last Buddy's Burger experience. Good food but like I said the customer service will make or break your experience.

Charming place with a cozy outdoor seating area — you can choose to sit under the roof near the entrance or out in the open. The staff is super polite and attentive, all young and welcoming. Everything we tried was well-prepared and tasty — definitely five stars for food quality.

Inside is clean and neat, including the restroom (just one, but it was tidy). The ordering process is a bit different than usual: you walk straight to the counter, pick a menu, order and pay there — no one seats you at a table or brings you a menu. It caught me off guard at first, but the system works efficiently.

There’s plenty of parking space, which is always a plus. My daughter lit up when she saw hot dogs on the menu — and that alone made the visit feel like a little celebration.
