Do not go to this service center, you will overpay! I wish I could give this a zero star but was forced to pick a 1 star review.
Driving home to Florida from North Carolina, my car broke down on the side of 95 with a bad water pump. Florence BMW was 15 miles away and I was towed by AAA to this dealership. I called ahead and talked to Joel Capps who was helpful and the only bright spot of this whole experience.
After getting the assessment of the repairs I called my local mechanic and he informed me that they were overcharging for all parts and labor. Now labor is subjective but the parts concerned me. Being 300 miles away from home I had no choice but to repair the car and be on my way home. Upon getting back to Florida, I called 5 BMW dealerships to get pricing on a water pump repair, 3 in Florida and 2 in South Carolina. Every single dealership quoted me a part price of $546.40 for the water pump. Florence charged me $721.25. I called the service manager several times with no response. I called BMW North America to file a complaint about this dealership.
And if overcharging wasn't enough, they failed to release the pressure valve on my AC compressor that was triggered when the car overheated. Since the repair at Florence BMW my air conditioner would not get all the way cold. Upon taking it to my trusted local certified BMW mechanic that owns his own shop I had to pay an additional $200 for him to release this valve and now my AC works perfectly. He informed me that they should have known to do this properly.
So I overpaid for parts and labor but then had to incur an additional repair cost because of their lack of knowledge. All in all it cost me over $400 extra.

Read moreOf course, traveling a long distance and realizing you have a mechanical failure is not the best and jovial time to have. In the mist of my problems, Mr. Travis was able to get me in and have my car inspected and give me the results of my diagnosis quickly. No one wants to hear they have to leave there vehicle especially during a holiday weekend because it is not repairable but Mr. Joel did not stop until he found me a way to get my rental which was several towns over because all of the rental cars in the area were sold out. However, the All-Star of this dynamic trio has to be Mr. Brody. He would not leave my side until it was confirmed I had keys in my hand. He also led me back to the dealership to ensure I knew the way. Even though, this event is still ongoing and a bit traumatic; I do not know how I would've made it to see my mom who is sick in Charleston, South Carolina without the help of these three phenomenal gentlemen. Lastly, let's not forget Miss Rachel, who did not have to listen to my sobs as I cried about how I was going to pay for the repairs or to see my mom. Additionally, even though I didn't get your name, I don't want to forget the shuttle driver whom offered to help me find a rental car. I have had many cars in my lifetime and I'm sure the amount of maintenance on them will never change but my experience at this dealership has been a truly genuine, compassionate, heart felt experience. Read moreA-1 service! After having a very bad experience while visiting in my hometown (NC) at a BMW dealership to have a tire replaced, Camilia of BMW of Florence made things right! I had driven from Atlanta to NC for the weekend and had to take my vehicle in for a low tire pressure issue (new tires put on a few days earlier) I was not able to have it replaced by the BMW dealership there. Unfortunately my key was left at dealership in Atlanta when my tires were put on and they informed me that they did not have a "key" to take the tire off. I had to resort to a temporary repair (by my mechanic uncle) to make the trip back home with my 2 young kids. The pressure began to drop on my tire about an hour out, and I stopped to put air in. I made a decision to go to the nearest BMW to have it checked out. Florence was the closest on my route, so I stopped in not knowing what to expect after my experience in NC. Camilla got right on it, was very friendly and showed great customer service. My issue was diagnosed, solution was discussed, and tire was replaced within an hour.
