I HATE giving a bad review, I much prefer to Write positive ones to reward hard work and good service. I believe that a bad experience is not the norm in most places and every one deserves the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately my experience at Burger King was so bad this morning that I feel the need to leave a negative review. I go to the Socastee BK every Friday morning and I always order the exact same thing. My meal always comes out to $6.98... Today I pulled up and ordered a meal with a large hash round and OJ, just like always. I then waited my turn to get to the window. The lady working the window was someone I had not seen before, and as I pulled up she asked me what I ordered and I told her again so she could ring it up because it wasnt done the first time. She seemed to be having trouble with the computer and I politely told her to take her time I was in no rush. When she was done, my meal was nearly a dollar more than usual, I just let it go and took my food. When I looked in the bag I realized I was given a small Hashround instead of a large. I tried to waive the lady down but she looked directly at me and just kept talking to a coworker and ignored me. So I quickly taped my horn to get her attention. She asked what I needed in an irritated tone. I told her, I was supposed to have an order of large hashrounds with my meal. She told me that's not what I ordered an I got exactly what I told her (mind you she didn't type it I'm when I ordered at the speaker, she waited until I was at the window). I told her I come every friday for breakfast and my total was always 6.98 not 7.84. She rifled through her receipts (which I was not given a copy of) she then told me that she would not replace my hashrounds i would have to purchase a medium if i wanted more. I explained the price was higher than normal and that I came every week to order the same meal. She said, you didn't order a meal, you ordered a sandwich, hashrounds, and a OJ. I politely told her that I did order a meal and wanted the food I paid for. It was at this point everything went sideways. She yelled at me to leave and said she was going to call the cops on me. I told her to go ahead, and I then asked to speak with the manager, she said "I am the manager" Then she told me to pull forward and she would bring it out (I had no faith in this woman by now) so I told her I would not move until she brought my food. She threatened to call the police again and I told her please do. Then she said the hashbrowns had to be cooked and I must move before she called the police. I asked if the people behind me ordered hashrounds and she said "yes, and I'm going to have them pull forward too. I told her that made no since and I would wait until they were ready before I left the window. She slammed the window shut and mumbled under her breath some very offensive remarks that I will not repeat. 2 seconds later (literally 2 seconds) she scooped up my hash browns and handed them to me and said " now you can "F"ing leave. I told her it was amazing how fast she got those hashrounds out (fully cooked btw). I hate that I have to leave a review for the restaurant and not just this morning manager because every other week for the past 6 months I have had excellent service that always came with a smile and the employees were always so polite. So while I am giving this 1 star it is specifically directed at the morning manager that worked the drive through window on Friday Jan 24th.... btw, I asked for her name so I could include it in the review but she told me she didn't have to tell me her name. Last but not least, the final kick in the pants was when I got home and found out I got the wrong sandwich.... mistakes happen, and I'm okay with that... but there's never an excuse to be rude to a customer, call them a liar, cuss at them, or treat them like their business...
Read moreI never thought I'd be reviewing a burger king of all places, but this is well deserved. Since moving to this area many years ago, I found myself shying away from the fast food places. Most of the major chains had fallen off with customer service, attitude, food quality, preparation and when your asking almost $10 for a big hamburger that used to be $2 its easy to justify going to a local spot and spending a few more bucks. However, yesterday, we found ourselves at this Burger King getting an order to bring home. We went inside to order and I was shocked how clean the store was. That was immediately followed by how polite and professional the staff were. Everyone was working and having a good time doing it. That was a breath of fresh air, im used to the miserable attitude you usually get. Every burger we ordered was a specialty order. No sauce, extra pickles, no pickles ect ect.. I went in with a laundry list and didn't have the time to think about the strategic ordering to save money with combos and all. I didn't have to because after I read everything off, the woman behind the counter entered everything she could as a combo. It's not a huge savings, but it was the idea that she was willing to take the time to do it as opposed to just plugging in my request. I usually have to check all the items, at least my wife's, because she's a very picky eater, but I didn't have the time to go through them all. The order came fast, fries were FULL, and it was hot but not steaming to the point of sogging. I grabbed the bag, said a huge thank you for their help, and rushed home, a 15 minute drive. Not only was EVERY order prepared exactly how we asked, but the food looked like the pictures and tasted excellent. They opened another location a while back that has since closed, we went there last year, and I swore I'd never go back to another BK.... well, i broke that promise, and this location has changed my opinion on that, I will gladly return the next time im craving a burger. Thanks to the staff for taking pride in their job. Not everyone is out there doing what's right and genuinely enjoying themselves while...
Read moreThis young man was the most rude, disrespectful person Iâve had the pleasure of even MEETING in South Carolina as I had just moved down here & have found everyone friendly. The rude sarcastic comments when all we did was ask what came with certain combos, followed by the facial expressions like I was stupid, the eye rolling, to the being on his phone & me having to repeat my order because he couldnât comprehend it being on his phone the entire time. Then, as we sat down to eat we heard him talking about us in the back! I donât know what we did to this man or if he was having just a bad day or what but we will not be returning as we are new to the area & found this to be INSANE how rude he was. The dirty looks from across the room as I ate made me very uncomfortable. I donât even know what I did⌠honestly considering going to an even higher up as they all willingly spoke about simple questions I had about a...
