This place always looks busy and the reviews seemed decent, so we thought we’d give it a try and grab some takeout. Wish I had decided to let it remain a mystery. $51 for two tiny pizzas and 14 shredded pieces of romaine - really? The pizzas were barely 9 inches in diameter, and they were not good - for almost $20 each I would have expected much more, at least something very flavorful and fresh-tasting. There was nothing special about this dough, nor the toppings to justify that ridiculous price, especially not when you can go to any number of restaurants in the area and get a pizza that’s twice the size and much better tasting for the same price. The crust was chewy and hard, yet inexplicably uncooked in the middle. I paid for extra cheese and I guess it’s a good thing I did because if not, there probably wouldn’t have been any on the pizza at all. The “large” caesar salad was the biggest joke of all - it wasn’t even $1 worth of lettuce with a sprinkle of cheese, a few croutons and a couple anchovies, I mean c’mon - $13? Even with all the price-gauging going on in this current economy, that’s absurd. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the young girl who brought our order out was very friendly and capable. Maybe the other food on the menu is better, maybe the dine-in experience makes everything taste better and seem like a better deal - I will never know - but pizza is usually a pretty good barometer for the quality of an Italian restaurant. If you can’t slap some sauce and cheese on bread and make it taste good, can I trust you’d be able to prepare anything more complex? Probably not. Either way, 100% do not recommend ordering pizza or salad from here unless you’re not hungry and you like overpaying for food.

It was a coworkers turn to pick dinner and she surprised us with this establishment. Great choice. It had a nice atmosphere and the food was excellent. We started with the fried ravioli which was the servers recommendation. It was a pretty decent way to start the meal. The salad was a bit underwhelming, but did had some tasty salamis and pepperoni mixed in, which was a nice touch. The real star of the meal was the main course. I had the Chicken Cutlet Alfredo, which was also by recommendation. The chicken was enormous, I almost couldn’t finish it. It was cooked perfectly, giving it the right crispness with each bite, but also juicy and flavorful. The fettuccini noodles were fantastic as well. We wanted to try the dessert but were all too full at that point. Will definitely return to try more off the menu, and probably leave room for dessert this time. Thanks for a great experience!

Out and about we decided to eat at Capri's. We have been here before so we knew the landscape so to speak. I didn't know it was BOGO pizza night on Wednesday but I do now. We ordered the Shrimp Alfredo pasta with a side salad and the Cajun Chicken pizza along with the Trifecta pizza. All of it was great but the salad dressing was being difficult. You could shake the bottle but by the time you got the lid off all of the spice would settle back to the bottom, so mostly oil on the salad and not a lot of spice. The pizza crust was freaking awesome. I would recommend anyone reading this give Capri's a try if you haven't already.

OMG. I PLACED A CALLED IN ORDER, I STATED TO THE YOUNG LADY" PLEASE MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE CHEESE IS NOT BURNED", BECAUSE THEY LIKE TO CHAR THE CHEESE. THE YOUNG LADY STAYED SURE I WILL LET THE COOK KNOW. WHEN I ARRIVED THE YOUNG LADY WAS SO SWEET AND SOME OF THE CO WORKERS WERE UP THERE AND WE ALL STARTED KIDDING AROUND, I GOT MY FOOD AND LEFT. I ARRIVED HOME AND GOT THINGS SITUATED,; I WENT TO TAKE THE LID OF OF THE LASAGNA, OMG, IT WAS BURNED ON THE TOP, OH WELL, I HAD SUCH A NICE TIME WITH THE YOUNG LADIES WHEN I LEFT, I DIDN'T GET UPSET, IT WAS KINDA LATE, A LITTLE AFTER 10. I CALLED NO ANSWER, I PRECEDED TO CALL AGAIN. A GENTLEMAN ANSWERED THE PHONE AND I EXPLAINED WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY LASAGNA, AND EXPLAINED THAT I ADVISED THE YOUNG LADY, WHOM WAS VERY SWEET, THAT I DIDN'T WANT MY LASAGNA BURNED IN THE TOP AND SHE SAID OKAY SHE WOULD LET THE COOK KNOW, HE, IN SILENCE AFTER I EXPLAINED, FOR 3 MINUTES. I SAID EXCUSE ME HE SAID I AM HERE, INSTEAD OF SAYING, MAME I APOLOGIZE AND THANK YOU FOR ACKNOWLEDGING MY CASHIER, I AM SORRY IT WAS BURNT AND NOT PRPARED CORRECTLY, CAN I GET YOUR NAME AND NUMBER AND WHEN YOU ARE IN THE AREA AGAIN PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COME BY AND I WILL MAKE EVERYTHING OKAY. HE SAID SOME OF HIS CUSTOMERS LIKE OR ASKED FOR THE TOP TO BE BLACK, I SAID WILL SIR, I SPECIFIED BEFORE PLACING MY ORDER THAT I DID NOT WANT IT BURNED ON THE TOP, I ASKED WELL LOOK ON THE ORDER TICKET AND SEE IF SHE WROTE "DO NOT BURN ON THE TICKET" HE SAID IT WAS NOT ON THERE, WHICH SHE SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN IT ON THERE. YES I AM GOING THROUGH ALL OF THIS. I ASKED IS THE OWNER THERE, HE SAID HE WAS THE OWNER, OMG!!!!! HE SAYS TO ME " SEND HIM A PICTURE FROM MY CELL PHONE" CAN YOU ALL BELIEVE THIS, BY THIS TIME IT'S 11 P.M. SEND HIM A PICTURE FROM MY CELL, HE WANTS TO KNOW WHAT TO TELL HIS COOK!!!!!! GUYS CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS. I HAVE NEVER. INSTEAD OF SAYING MAME I APOLOGIZE HE PUT ME THROUGH ALL OF THAT. JUST EARLIER MY CO WORKERS HAD EATEN THERE, I CALLED THEM, THERE WERE FURIOUS, ONE OF THEM KNEW HIM, THEY DID EXPLAIN TO ME HE WAS NOT A VERY PROFESSIONAL INDIVIDUAL, HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN THAT WAY, AND SINCE I HAD SUCH AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE WITH HIM THEY WOULD NOT RETURN, AS WELL AS MYSELF. I CALLED A LOCAL FRIEND OF MINE THAT OWNED A RESTURANT HERE, HE COULD NOT BELIEVE IT, HE SAID OVER AND OVER "I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT". HE SAID HE WOULD SPREAD THIS STORY, WE LAUGHED ABOUT IT BUT AT LEAST I HAD A GREAT TIME WITH ME GIRLS...

The quality of the food at Capri's is fantastic. The garlic bread is crispy, with a strong flavor. The salads are very balanced, and the parmesan peppercorn dressing is great. Bread that is served with the meal is soft and tasted very fresh. I had the veal marsala and it was amazing: the veal was cooked just right, with a sweet marsala sauce over it. Servings are large, with everyone in my party taking a large portion of their meals home. Prices aren't bad, about on par with higher end restaurants in the area. I paid $32 for a garlic bread appetizer, baked spaghetti, veal marsala, and a glass of wine. I thought the food was worth well more than that price. There are a nice variety of dishes on the menu, though side items and beverage choices are excluded and must be asked of the wait staff.

The decor of the restaurant is extremely nice. The architecture is elegant, not unnecessarily unique but pleasing to the eye. Accent lighting is bright enough that you aren't searching for your food, but there isn't a harsh glare. There isn't an over abundance of seating, so you won't be bumping elbows with the next table. Music choice is a soothing sort of jazz, just loud enough to drown out background noise but not overwhelming such that you have to yell in order for others at the table to hear you speak.

The wait staff is fantastic, significantly better than most high end restaurants that I've been to. Our waitress (Allison, I believe her name was) wasted no time getting our drink and food orders. She has helpful in suggesting a wine choice to me, admitting that she didn't know exactly what to recommend based on my food choice but helped me to select a wine based on others that I like. She was incredibly nice, as were all the other staff that we spoke with.

Overall, my experience at Capri's stood head and shoulders above other Italian restaurants that I've visited. I highly recommend it, worth driving out to Boiling Springs if you...
