Where to start? I'll be honest here but, really hope it won't make anyone else crowd the place further. That said, If it were my place, I don't think I'd change one d... thing. The service is impeccable and the food never disappoints. I generally sit at the bar as, I'm likely, solo. Their staff is adorable. Not a comment on looks but, rather, personality. The kitchen staff is always on point. The quality is top notch. I hope they'll forgive, if I leave someone out, it's not intentional. Erin and Leslie, always, are on point and smiling while they make sure your wants and needs are meet. They are the closest thing to perpetual motion that I've ever seen. Zach and David are in the game as well. They, perhaps, are a little less rushed. This allows them to explain things, whether food or beverage, with nothing left to wonder. Just my observation but, despite their unique approaches, they all get it done seamlessly. They probably deserve a whoopee button. Seriously, I frequent the establishment and, it's not, because...
Read moreCooper’s Tavern hosted a surprise party for my husband yesterday. It exceeded all of our expectations. Let’s just start with the appetizers. Homemade pimento cheese and Miss Debbie’s special Horry County caviar, followed by warm and chilled peel and eat shrimp, fried oysters, and mahi bites, fried, grilled, and blackened. Our guests raved about the appetizers and wondered if they could finish their entrees after enjoying all of that. Now for the entrees... for this occasion, our guests had the option of the chicken bacon melt, smoked Gouda cheeseburger, or grilled salmon with mango salsa. We got a glimpse of more than one guest trying other’s choices. I think everyone would agree the fried macaroni and cheese was the best side. If you’ve visited Cooper’s before, you’ve met Taylor, Kayla, and Debbie. This is a family owned business and they treat everyone like family. Their staff volunteered to come in on their day off to help with our event and were happy to be there. If you’ve never been, you will not be...
Read moreFirst time eating here. Which the anticipation was killing me from all the good I’d heard and now, I’m extremely disappointed and one of my kid’s won’t be eating with us. We were told on the phone it’d be 20 to 30 min my husband waited for nearly an hour on our food after the 20 to 30 min we were told previously. So total an hour and a half. When we finally received our food, I’d ordered two kids chicken tender meals for my girls and only received one of them, instead we got someone elses burger, and the one order of tenders we did receive was charred badly. It was a $50 meal and the service and food we received was not worth it. Now they just called back after I spoke with someone about the issue and are giving me a $15 gift card. Which I honestly don’t even want to use, the food and service were that bad. I will be calling to talk to the manager or even the owner. I know a lot of people that know the owner very well, and being a business owner myself they should know about the...
