My first visit to this Firehouse Subs was yesterday afternoon. I arrived when they first opened and I ordered a platter pack, which at the time I had no idea that they needed a 24 hour notice before they could complete the order. However, since it was early, the pleasant staff members were able to complete my order which was much appreciated since it was my wife’s birthday and she was craving their sandwiches. We were having family over for her birthday and I thought it would be nice to have lunch available for everyone. Thankfully they were able to complete the order in about an hour and I was able to be home by the time my family arrived.
When I got the pack home, the lettuce was light brown and shriveled and got very noticeably worse farther down in the bowl, so we had to throw it away. There were very few mayonnaise packets compared to the mustard packets that were put in the bag. I think I assumed that there would be a wider variety of condiments placed in the bag as well but that was it. I had to get things out of my fridge to add to the sandwiches because there really wasn’t much put in the bag. There were only three forks and some of the plates had stains on them. Even the pickles were a little dried out which is definitely not the quality I’m use to whenever I have visited any other Firehouse Subs. The cookies included, however, were very good and were well received all around.
I think what I am most disappointed in was the size of the sandwiches along with the quality and quantity of meat on them. Obviously I knew that the sandwiches would be on the smaller side, but some of the portions weren’t even big enough for my toddler. The white bread, specifically the end pieces of bread, were very hard and dried out, so those sandwiches were hardly touched. The ham was tasty but the cheese that was paired with it tasted weird and that was a comment made across the board by those that tried the ham sandwiches. Some of the sandwiches had a barely acceptable amount of meat on them and others literally had a shred of meat on them the size of a piece of the brown lettuce that was put in the bag. The roast beef was basically all chewy gristle and because of that, they were the least popular sandwich.
By the time my family left for the afternoon, there were almost all of the tiny roast beef sandwiches left and anything else that what was left was on white bread because it was too dry to eat. I mean, at one point, we were using multiple sandwiches to get enough meat for one tiny sandwich and we would toss the dry bread out.
Ultimately, the pack of sandwiches meant to serve 10+ people, barely fed 6 of us and was very much NOT worth the price I paid for it at all. I feel like if they didn’t want to make the order, all they had to do was turn me away and I would have gone somewhere else, but I feel like because they wanted that almost $100 sale, they just gave me whatever was leftover from a day or so before because judging by the quality of everything given to me, that is very obviously what happened. Im...
Read moreAs I entered the restaurant about 7:50pm......cheerfully greeted by the shift manager Taylor. I noticed another employee also working along side of her, but also noticed the employee also had a "visitor" in the store, assumed boyfriend.
I had time after pre-paying to use the restroom to find after exiting the restroom minutes later, my order had not yet been complete but the other employee Taylor "Riggs" was off to the side as she motioned for the guy to come chat with her at the side of the counter. When I questioned why she (Taylor Riggs) was NOT helping, all she was doing was talking to her guy/boyfriend and sorting out to go boxes versed helping fix food?????? I said to Taylor the shift manager, why isn't she (Taylor Riggs) helping you? You took the money and fixing the food, two hands are better than 1 and I'm still waiting.....the employee, Taylor RIGGS said it was only 2 subs, I was like and you could have helped to make them two subs vs over there doing nothing talking to your boyfriend. He gonna make you lose your job.
By this time another couple walked in to order and as I left I saw him also leave, but I'm sure her attitude was not right after I confronted her not assisting to get our orders out in a timely manner. She needs to be FIRED! Taylor Riggs, not Taylor the shift managers, but she also let her do it.....smh. I feel the shift managers was being taken advantage of while the boyfriend was in the store...
Read moreI've gone regularly to this Firehouse for over 5 years and tonight will be my last visit. It has went downhill continually. Tonight I got home with my food and both subs are COLD. They didn't even attempt to heat them. One is a steak and cheese and the cheese isn't even melted. They charge way too much to have bad food. My cucumbers aren't chopped up. They are huge chunks. Out of the last 5 times I have been, the order has been wrong 3 times and half of the time the tea is empty or they are out of something. The avg age of the workers there can't be more than 17 years old and it shows. No one is in charger. Ever. They are too busy talking to do their job well. It used to be a great place, but I will go somewhere else from now on. Management, if it even exists has ruined it. Please don't waste your money here. There is another one 3 miles down the...
