Very disappointing. I ordered the ribs that are labeled Sticky whiskey, my wife ordered the goat cheese salad. They are so overpriced for the quality of the food. I was told the ribs are made to order and they will take 20min. They came out so overcooked so I doubt they cooked the ribs on the fly. There is no way you can overcook ribs like that in less than 20min(the meal came out in 15min).
Honestly, we should have left after we got the brie small plate order. It comes with a half of a pear that is "grilled." They took a butane torch to char the top of the pear, it tasted like butane gas. The brie was just a standard wedge of brie, that is what we expected. It does not come with pita or anything else to spread the cheese on. We were told they give bread to the table so we can use that. They brought the bread out and we were given 5 pieces of bread that are about the size of a large crouton. Also, the bread was partially raw.
If you are in town, I suggest you go somewhere else. I'm not confident the reviews they have are real. This is a restaurant for the locals that are most likely over 55 years old that associate GREAT FOOD with a high price. Our bill was $107 for 2 people. 1 $10 glass of wine and 2 $7.50 glasses of wine with 1 small plate and 2 entrees, don't forget, 1 was a salad!
We should have walked out after the Brie or sent the food back. I’m not a huge fan or returning food because you never know what might happen to...
Read moreI wasn't sure what to expect when I found this place on Google. It said it was a bar & looked pretty casual. Well, everything here is pretty casual, of course, but I was pleasantly surprised when I was walking up the sidewalk and someone opened the door for me & politely welcomed me inside. The bar is front & center as you enter, but there is a nice dining area on the other side of the room divider, if you don't care to be in the bar area. The lighting is very nice and so are the tables, although a little close together during these covid times. Unlike Dallas, there aren't masks everywhere, so go at your own risk - wear one or don't seems to be the mentality in these parts.
I sat at the bar & a young man attended me as the server & bartender. He was very nice, professional & knew the menu well. I chose the roasted oysters since I've never had them before. They were served quickly with the best homemade bread ever! I enjoyed the oysters, maybe not as much as the raw, but it's good to try different things. I ordered a 'seasonal draft - I think it was a white wheat. Very nice. The owner stopped by a couple of times with a nice friendly smile and asked how I was each time. They weren't real busy (it was a Wednesday night after all the Labor Day visitors had left), but busy enough that the attentiveness was definitely appreciated. I hope to return on my next visit and try something else...
Read moreChecked in at 7:10 was their till 9:45 not by choice. Was ingnored over and over had to ask can we just get an appetizer going. Service was bad. Drinks and all. Ordered the special around $40.00. Asked please, please ,please don’t over cook. After a very long while steak shows up over cooked including our gest. Our meals came out separately and one had to wait an extra 10 min for their meal. I just quietly said I did not want it. Waitress comes back out with it cut up in small pieces with half missing and said it is cooked properly. I said your now making a Sean. It was well done. Not rare to medium rare like I asked for. My wife’s steak was done properly. Not one manager comes out to talk about it. They just took the steak off ticket. I called after we left to speak with someone and the owner said sorry and acted disinterested if I would come back or not. “Just said thanks for your input”. Had many meals at upper end places. This is the worst experience of all. Never going back. Would give no...
