While my experience was very positive in the store, delivery - for just one bedroom dresser - has been absolutely horrible. I ordered the dresser on Feb. 24, 2025, but didn't want delivery until March 20, 2025, because we were renovating the condo it was going in. So they had PLENTY of time to make sure my dresser would be scheduled and delivered on the day that I needed it. My March 20th delivery kept getting moved later in the day (between 2 and 7pm, then between 5:30 and 7:30pm) - I finally got a call that they were running behind and it would be between 7pm and 8pm. I am part owner of this condo and live in Hilton Head, so I went over and waited for an hour and a half - no one called, no one showed. The number to call and ask about your delivery closes down at 7pm, by the way. At 9:10pm, after I got home, I received a call telling me that my dresser would not be delivered that night. She admitted that in the office they thought it had been delivered earlier because the GPS showed the truck being right by there earlier in the day. The delivery person let her know that it had not been delivered - they ran out of time - according to her they can only work so many hours in a day. But again, no one called me until 9:10 pm. Then she says the next available delivery date is WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26th!!! A week later!! I called Friday morning to try to move it up, but they said it had already been unloaded from the truck and put back, and it would be Wednesday before they had an open slot, but they would check - she called back later and said sorry, it would still be Wednesday. To top it off, my husband was at the condo Friday and at 11:30am a Haverty's truck shows up - but delivering to another unit in our court. Their excuse was that the trucks are preloaded the night before. I feel like since it was Haverty's fault that they over-scheduled and didn't deliver my order, when they brought it back that night, they should have checked their schedule for the next day and loaded it on the other truck. Just completely incompetent logistical planning. While I have ordered a number of things from Haverty's before, and was planning on getting another bedroom set for this condo, I will NEVER order anything from Haverty's again. Their response was just "sorry - it'll be there Wednesday." They could have cared less about keeping me as a customer. I then asked for a refund of some of the cost because of the extreme delay as well as wasting my time - they did agree to refund the delivery charge ($99.99). I would definitely recommend buying your furniture from somewhere else, especially if you are trying to finish a renovation and are on a timeline - there are many other good furniture stores in the Hilton Head/Bluffton area that I'm sure would give much better...
   Read moreI have never enjoyed shopping for furniture, but working with Jessica Mugrage was an absolute pleasure. Iâm used to being accosted by salespeople when I walk into a furniture store. In fact, just last week at the Virginia Beach Havertyâs the salespeople literally followed me around and hovered over my shoulder while I was trying to shop. It was a very frustrating experience and I didnât purchase anything as a result. Fortunately I didnât experience the same treatment at this Havertyâs. Jessica politely introduced herself when I entered the showroom, said she was available for any questions I had, and then actually let me look around uninterrupted. Jessica allowed me to shop at my own pace and was readily available when I had questions. She was extremely knowledgeable about the furniture and able to offer suggestions when I asked about coordinating different pieces. When I had design questions she enlisted the help of Connie, one of the designers. I just moved to the area yesterday, and while I needed furniture for my whole house, I was only planning to purchase a kitchen table. Working with Jessica however was so pleasant and easy that I purchased furniture for 3 rooms (15 pieces)! My shopping experience was so enjoyable because of Jessica Mugrage. She was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely patient. I kept forgetting items I needed and she was so patient with me, going back in and placing additional orders. I canât say enough about Jessica. She definitely deserves a raise! Thank you again for helping to make my shopping experience so enjoyable. I will be shopping at Havertyâs for all my furniture needs and will be recommending...
   Read moreWe recently moved to Bluffton and needed help furnishing our new home. At the Bluffton store we met with a sales consultant and a design consultant. They worked with us to choose fabrics, colors, and styles. They were both outstanding! Our design consultant came to our home and even helped us pick out paint colors for all our rooms. We followed her advice and everything came out great. She took measurements and did a detailed layout of our rooms to help show us how everything would fit and coordinate - very professionally done! We were very happy with all our furniture selections and the quality of the pieces we purchased. We needed to return an area rug because of a manufacturing defect and unfortunately the replacement also arrived with issues. When we opted not to try a third time on that particular item the store was most gracious and understanding and promptly refunded our money.
Also store management was very responsive to some concerns we shared about the delivery service and they truly seem committed to improving this aspect of their business. We visited many other furniture stores in the area and Haverty's remains...
