If i could ZERO STARS I WOULD I REPEAT PLEASE DO NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION. Unfortunately, i ordered a online order from this location but for some reason the system changed it to a pick-up and i was totally fine with this. Well, sadly i was in for a rude awakening. I called to ask the issue as i always order and tip each time. I was told by the (assistant manager) he was unsure of the issue which was totally fine. Although i paid for delivery i had no problem picking up since it was already paid for. Upon arriving i asked if i could be refunded for delivery and the tip i left over $30 and the assistant manager stated he knew i would ask this and just lost it on me. He told me that basically i tipped the store and states that if he refunds me he will refuse me service.?!?! I was completely puzzled and blown away. I calmly proceeded to ask for my money back and he became even more erratic. States that i am causing him issue and proceeded to call the police because i am not trespassing????? He stated this BLACK woman is causing issue in my store and i want her removed. I could not believe what i was hearing! I then knew he was either joking to make me leave or just wanted the tip so bad because Horry County Police does not play racism and injustice on this level ever. I am a bakery owner here and have never been in trouble with the law nor would i ever cause a scene over a twenty dollar pizza but paying almost $50 for it with tip and delivery I simply wanted my money back to leave to another location. I felt so violated. I am 5 feet tall 5 months pregnant and two young children in the car. This man refused to refund me and followed me to my car and took pictures of my license plate. I told him no worries i will contact your corporate office he stated good luck and laughed. Well he was right. I contacted the corporate office no reply. I called various locations to receive direct information to the owner no one would help. This is so disappointing as i shopped very often with this location. I even asked them to pull camera footage nothing has been done nor did the owner reach out. Being that i own a business less then three miles away i was very concerned for my safety as this man seems a bit mentally unstable. I tried everything not to take it to this level but i will be reaching out to the local news stations, social media and authorities to hold this individual and location accountable. IF YOU ARE OF COLOR, or EVEN CARE ABOUT THE INJUSTICE PLEASE DO NOT SHOP THIS...

We called this location in Carolina Forest to order a pizza with a promotion code to get an extra Howie Bread and a 2 liter soda with our pizza. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger pizza it did not taste good after the first slice our stomachs turned. Upon arrival the delivery man did not bring the soda that we paid for with this promotion. I paid for the order and tipped the man. Before he made it back to his car I asked "is there soda with this order?" he said that it's not on the receipt.... [he did not give me a receipt] and then proceeded to say that he would have them put a soda on our next order or come back in 30 minutes with said soda. I had originally told the person on the phone to read back the order to me to make sure it was right and they got this wrong. I have had Hungry Howie's in the Myrtle Beach location before and the quality of this pizza and Hungry Howie's bread was not what I expected. This might be the worst experience I've ever had with Hungry Howie's the food was terrible we threw it away and went to get pizza from a local establishment around the corner instead because I did not want my stomach to hurt. I normally don't say these types of things but I feel like I was scammed by this location since I did not receive a receipt and did not receive my order and the food was not what it should be in quality. In case the restaurant reads this review the people who order food from you, who do not receive drinks with the order do not want to wait 30 minutes for you to return with a drink... as their food should be served hot with the paid drinks on hand.
To summarize this review... save your money do not order from this establishment I thought that maybe the restaurant would improve after their grand opening based on other negative reviews, that I had read about this location... however this was not the case.
Food 1 star,...
Read moreUPDATE TO THE UPDATE: If my complaints were provided to corporate twice because I called, why would I be referred to the complaint site two weeks AFTER the fact??? Thank you but no thanks! #TEAMMARCOPOLO UPDATE: Since it has been 4 days and tomorrow is a holiday, I followed up with corporate to verify when I will be contacted. I was advised on this call that given each location is privately owned, it is up to the owner how an incident is handled. As all may see, the owner did extend an apology and an "offer" to spend more money & receive a side of additional discrimination with the order...thank you but no thank you. Marco Polo has now gained a new customer.
Ordered a pizza via the app as every Friday, however, instead of delivery I opted for pick up (my 5yo likes to be the pizza man). When we got to this location we were not acknowledged even after door chimes and we were looked at. Eventually, a young lady advised us that someone would help us shortly but no one did. Having sat down for a few minutes at this point without aid, I was eventually asked if we were helped. With order FINALLY in hand and all employees away from register again, a nonmelanated (white) woman entered as we were exiting and she was helped and out by the time I snapped my child in his booster seat! THIS is when I felt discriminated towards! We went back inside to ask for the number to corporate when I was advised that I could "look it on Google up bc they don't have it"...I am awaiting a callback from corporate in 3 to 5...
