Jimmy John's — Restaurant in South Carolina

I am giving this Jimmy John's a generous three stars. The last couple of times my husband and I have been there, it seems like the staff has been in the weeds and the service has been substandard compared to other Jimmy John's we have been to when traveling through the United States.

The time before last, my husband told the guy taking the order he wanted turkey and cheese, jimmied up, with the peppers on the side. He didn't seem to understand the order when it was spoken clearly. When we finally got our sandwich, it was completely wrong. We left and my husband said, "they're off my list". I told him we needed to give them another try, they were having an off day and obviously training the guy.

Which brings us to Wednesday at around 1:15. My husband told the girl taking the order he wanted a #11, jimmied up, with cucumbers, peppers on the side. The girl just stared at him. He attempted to verify the order with her and she said nothing and seemed unsure about their own menu. A male employee, who we have seen there many times and seems to be the only one who knows what going on and working his butt off, chimed in and confirmed the order. There must have been a very large order for delivery because everyone seemed to be working on that and very confused. After 10 minutes (no freaky fast here), I walked over and asked when our sandwich might be ready. So they stopped to make our order. Had I not asked, who knows when we would've gotten our order. Ordered online for pick up as the site said delivery was not available in my area (5 minutes away), no biggie as maybe they didn’t have any drivers this evening. My daughter went to pick it up and was treated very rudely by the associate running the window. Her and my wife ate after returning with the food, I wasn’t hungry at that time and waited awhile. My bad in that as I didn’t realize that they gave me the wrong sandwich until after they were closed. Ordered a giant roast beef and turkey (bootlegger club) and received a turkey and avocado instead. The sandwich is ok tasting but not what I ordered or was in the mood for. We had a big event on Saturday at a place I manage. Our plan was to order from a different place in pawleys because we had ordered from them before. At 10:30 that morning the other place decided they couldn’t fill our order. I called Jimmy John’s and spoke with Kim and she went out of her way to make sure we had our subs delivered to us. Not only was she willing to get them there by 12:30, she actually was able to get them there by 12:15 already cut and ready to serve! I’m not sure if she is a manager there but she definitely played that roll along with just someone who cared. These days that’s definitely hard to find!
