First time at love sushi and I am a bit disappointed. Started with the creamy spicy tuna. It was okay. It wasn’t really seared, more cooked through than expected. The dumpling soup was amazing! The salads was a handful of lettuce with a ton of ginger dressing on it. My fiancée got the hibachi steak and chicken. She said it was solid overall, I had a few bites and I agree. For my rolls, I asked the waitress if I could substitute cucumber for avocado. I ordered three rolls and on two of them with avocado, I asked for no avocado and substitute cucumber. They both came out with avocado (see pictures). This wasn’t really a big deal and the owners fixed it. Though, it did take another 10 minutes or so. I didn’t appreciate when the waitress said “I wrote no cucumber, add avocado, I guess I heard you wrong”. Was a little frustrating because I said my substitution request clearly. Almost like she was pushing the blame on me for not speaking clearly or loud enough. No discount for inconvenience which was fine. I don’t expect it, but it’s common practice to at least make an attempt to amend a mistake. With all this being said, the sushi was good. Nothing earth shattering, but I thought it was fresh.

Last night we wanted sushi for dinner and wanted to try a new spot. We wanted to avoid downtown Greenville so we went to Five Forks and tried Love sushi in the Old Big lots shopping center next to Hungry Howies pizza. We started with the fried gyoza. Any Asian restaurant that has gyoza on the menu, were ordering some! Full of flavor with a nice crunch. I was wanting some hibachi so I went with the steak and shrimp and shared with my lovely fiancé. They give you a small salad and bowl of miso soup with your hibachi entree and our waitress was so nice she brought us out both a salad and bowl of soup. The ginger dressing was phenomenal and the hibachi was fantastic. We ordered two sushi rolls as well. The pink lady which was highly recommended across other reviews and the woodruff roll. The sushi was phenomenal. Loved the pink lady even though I'm not the biggest fan of deep fried rolls and she really enjoyed the woodruff roll. Everything from the service to the food was fantastic!

After the longest day at work my family and I stopped for an early dinner. If you follow my reviews at all you know I’m all about a good family establishment. I have two small children and we made it work. The high chair is not the kind that you can flip over to hold a carseat but they did have a chair with arms. The atmosphere is pleasantly different and welcoming. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. Valeria waited on us and she was a little distant at first but great in the end. I believe everything was reasonably priced and we enjoyed it. I had the white tiger roll and a lobster roll. My husband had a spicy tuna and the Dan roll which he felt wasn’t as consistent with the jalapeño as he’d like. Overall we had a great time. I will say that there is no changing table and the bathrooms are pretty tight. This can be problematic for bigger families but maybe that’s not their demographic.

What happened? I was excited to try this restaurant and it has great reviews. Even someone in my network recommended it. We tried a lunch service today.

I ordered the salmon roll box. The server was struggling with English so there was a bit of a language barrier. She made several mistakes with drink orders, order accuracy, and checking on us.

The menus are poorly designed, offering "boxes"/lunch specials with no real description of what comes with it. I couldn't eat one of the dishes and had no idea it came with that component. Combine this with the language issues..

The salmon roll was NASTY! I've had sushi probably 100 times with no issue. The fish cut was very gnarly, it was fatty and had a bad consistency. It was so bad I was gagging trying to eat it. Hardly any rice, just a bunch of a bad cut of salmon.

I didn't send it back to save face with my guests. I asked for extra ginger and got almost none. Again, she never...
