Probably my favorite breakfast place in all of North and South Carolina. The staff is always extremely friendly and right on top of things. I haven’t had a bad meal here yet and have been back 5 times since we moved here three weeks ago. We are lucky it’s only a 30 second drive from where we live! Their Benedict’s are very good. They have a nicely balanced Hollandaise and their English muffins griddled to perfection. The beignets are a little different than what I’m used to but come with this raspberry compote/jam that is to die for! And the biscuits and gravy are literally the best I’ve had in my entire 31 year life so far. I’m a biscuits and gravy connoisseur so trust me when I say this place is my favorite! Also, you can’t beat the prices. This place definitely seems to be mostly a hotspot for locals but I would advise everyone give it a try! Make sure to take a look at their weekday specials! My current favorite day to go is Thursday where you can get two biscuits smothered in sausage gravy and two eggs. ( I like to mix my runny yolks in with my biscuits and gravy ; that’s why they are up on top in the pic!) We will be coming back very frequently.

Best breakfast spot in the Calabash area. The eggs benedict is amazing, as well as the cookie dough stuffed french toast. Biscuits and gravy, and the beignets are also great. The restaurant has a very homey, local diner vibe but the menu is far beyond what you’d expect from a typical pancake house. This is no IHOP or Waffle House. The food is always on point, but sometimes the service isn’t the best (ie, waitress will forget to bring utensils, condiments). Overall this place is great and I will continue to dine here!! I really wish they were open later, this would be a great late-night spot too but they are only open for breakfast and lunch.

The building is old and very dated, but it's part of the feel. Almost like stepping back several years. Everything on the menu sounds tasty. I settled on the gypsy skillet with a biscuit and side of gravy. My guest ordered croissant french toast with strawberries. Both drank coffee (very good). My food was warm and flavorful, biscuit was soft and fluffy, gravy was yum. The french toast was very good and our eggs were eggcellent. I'm sure we'll be back to sample more of the menu. Our server was super friendly and checked on us throughout our meal. Portion size was enough that we both left full with half of our entree coming home as leftovers!

Food was great, our waitress was nice and attentive.... then it got time to leave and the whole experience changed! We had two 1 year olds with us and a 3 year old. We fed them and cleaned up their mess (we bent down and picked the food off the floor that they had dropped) we tipped over 20% because the rudeness that we encountered was not from our waitress. The short blonde hair older lady that was the hostess/cashier ruined everything about our time there. She must not have seen me still standing at the table gathering our boxes when she began to talk with another customer that was old too. —By old I mean 70 + years- who we also held the door for on our way in— the old lady mentioned how loud our kids were and the cashier said yea we tried to keep them entertained (lie) and went on to say that this generation just isn’t like their generation and said a few other things that I didn’t catch and I’m glad I didn’t because the little bit I heard pissed me off enough. So if you have kids and need to feed them definitely wouldn’t go here unless you want to be stared at and talked about right in front of you ! I guess back in their day you didn’t go to restaurants with kids and clean up after them and tip more than...

Today we decided to have a good breakfast and we went to this restaurant, the food was good, the service was excellent, a clean place.. in a few words everything was going well. When I went to pay my bill, I used my credit card and when I proceed to sign the bill, they made an extra charge for no reason, I asked why and they said for using my credit card.. since when is this a fee charge for use the credit cards? At the end they were being paid the full amount of the bill, I told them that I would prefer to pay in cash, they said it was no longer possible for me to do it, the next time, obviously THERE WON’T BE NEXT TIME, it seems unfair to me that and for the customers.. after having made a good expense and leave a good tip and they charge you for charges that they themselves have imposed, so you know DON’T PAY WITH CREDIT CARD, it’s a theft, I wouldn’t like what happened to me to happen to you, or just go to another restaurant.....
