Overall Impression Mulligans Sports Bar in Little River left me smiling from the moment I pulled into the roomy parking lot to the last bite of my crispy fried shrimp.
Food Highlights Fried Shrimp: Perfectly golden, light, and crunchy on the outside while tender and flavorful inside. You can tell they use fresh oil and keep an eye on their fryers. French Fries: A standout surprise: well-seasoned, hot, and evenly crisped, not your average side dish. Steamed Squash & Carrots: Somehow they achieved a delightful crispness without losing that fresh, garden-sweet taste. It balanced the richer fried items beautifully.
Convenience & Atmosphere Plenty of parking right out front made arriving stress-free. Inside, the vibe is exactly what you want in a sports bar, plenty of TVs, friendly chatter, and staff who check in just often enough. Comfortable seating and quick service round out the experience.
Bottom Line If you find yourself near Little River and crave crispy seafood done right with solid sides, Mulligans Sports Bar is absolutely worth the stop. Great parking, great plates, great prices—what more...
Read moreFood was subpar at best. Prime Rib was very chewy at a Rare temp. Just not serving a good quality more select or choice cut of meat, def cutting corners. Way too much fat compared to decent edible protein. About 4oz. edible out of the 8oz cut. Fried Shrimp Platter definitely overcooked, breading on shrimp too dark & you could tell they were using old oil. Not a good start to the weekend. Ribs were dried out and had been cooked & reheated once too many. I'm all for a little crispy bark on on my pork, but this was similar to the dried out Turkey that Chevy Chase cut into during Christmas Vacation. Even the cole slaw was old and not fresh because the red cabbage was already turning dressing the pink/purple color and the cabbage was limp. Had friends in from out of town and we were completely embarrassed. I wish my mom had never suggested it. Go for the drinks at the bar I guess and maybe some half-done attempted live music. But, leaves so much too be desired. Except the server Stacey, was very friendly, prompt...
Read moreWe decided to eat here because we haven't been to a good pub in a while. When we arrived, the place was packed, but they had extra seating downstairs. I was a bit disappointed that we couldn't sit where the action was, but as it turned out, we had a wonderful time. We sat next to the window which had a great view of the lake outside. Very relaxing as we watched the turtles and two geese guarding their eggs. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato (delicious) and a side of their homemade potato chips which were not salty and really good. My wife ordered a salad with grilled chicken, which was perfect, and a lemon chicken soup. I sampled the soup which was yummy and not too salty as soups too often are. Our server, Cindy, was just wonderful. I can't speak to the bar area, but it sure seemed like everyone was having a great time. But do not despair if you are sent downstairs. It's...
