UPDATE: My family and I use to love this restaurant and visited it often for take out orders but recently, I'd say within the past year, they have started cutting so many corners that we started going less and less. Our most recent experience will be our last time visiting Panda. First of all, when ordering online, we noticed a not so subtle jump in their prices. It was more than a little shocking when what once was a $30 order now costs us over $40. That is a drastic change and honestly, it would be acceptable if the food quality went up with the prices, but it didn't. The food quality has gotten much worse, actually. I have noticed the last 3 times that we visited that the food was never hot or to the standards they use to produce. For instance, the eggrolls were bitter and mushy and the cheese wontons went from being standard size and tasty to super small and sickningly sweet. The beef and broccoli was slimy and we have yet to get rice that isn't hard and full of weepy brown bean sprouts. The biggest kicker this time around was the sweet and sour pork. It is normally pricier because pork is a pricier meat and we have never minded paying the extra cost, but one time they charged me for the pricier pork and then gave us chicken instead. Anyone could make that mistake and hastily read the ticket and immediately think chicken, so we just asked to have it remade and they did that time, but I had to leave my house and go all the way back up there for it. This last time was ridiculous. They blatantly tried to screw us over by putting a few pieces of pork in a container almost full of sweet and sour chicken. I'm over wasting my money on their over priced, cold food. I'll be looking for a new chinese restaurant to eat at...
Read moreThe rating is based on actually the inability to place an order. We just moved here from Baltimore and after a long day of moving we were hoping to just get something hot and not fast food. Spent 30 to 45 mins reading reviews and finally settled on ordering from this restaurant. Did the whole thing of letting everyone pick their items off the menu online and wrote it all down. At this day in age I don't quite understand WHY this place has a website and even is set up to do online orders but they don't accept them. I assume they don't want to pay the fee for it. Fine... I hit the button to call and it never rings. A message keeps saying this subscribers has not set up a voicemail box please try the number again. After 10x of the same thing over 10 mins, I gave up. I went back online did the whole thing all over again and landed on New Asia Chinese Restaurant, and guess what? They answered their phone. So this restaurant lost out on a family that orders WAYYYY to much food when we do order and usually order several times a month. New Asia was delicious, hot and ready when we arrived to pick it up. Two younger teenagers who were polite were helping at the front and they were very quick and friendly. So thanks New Asia for answering the phone, going forward we will...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for a few years since New Asia has gotten so bland and expensive. One of my favorite things they have is their Egg Drop Soup. My husband got us 2qts last night and I was craving more today. Just went in there and got a quart and it has ZERO flavor. No salt or broth taste at all. It’s just like yellow water. I am so disappointed. So now I guess I have to find another spot. Not sure what has changed since last night but it’s AWFUL.
UPDATE: Tried it again a couple weeks ago and everything was bad, not to mention they forgot some of our order. We never checked until we got home all the in Chesnee, my fault for thinking a restaurant knows how to take and prepare orders. They sure didn’t forget to charge us for the food we didn’t get. So yeah, NEVER AGAIN. Whoever reads this, y’all have been warned. Also the owner has never responded back lol so there’s all the...
