Well we decided to take a spare of the moment road trip and drove about 30 miles to check Whataburger out. This was our first time eating here so we were pretty excited. We placed an online order around 11:20am the receipt said the order would be ready around 11:23am - 11:26 am - We arrived at 11:23am, I told the car server we had an online order for pick up per the receipt instructions -I gave her my info and she stated we were good to pull up to the window/pick up area. We and another car were the only customers at this time in the 2 lane pick up, side by side. They were closer to the actual window where 2 other car server/deliverers were. Well after about when 11:27 hit I began to look around, the car beside me had to pull in a parking spot to get their food. I did notice other cars began to pull in order and get their food and drinks pretty quick, and I was still just parked. At 11:31 at least 5 cars or more had came and went, mind you itās a 2 lane pick up and Iām in the lane farthest from the window/delivery staff. So I am literally getting a front row seat watching other customers get served and come and go. Several staff had passed by my car delivering food and drinks to others and finally around 11:35 after I guess they realized the traffic on my side of the pick up hadnāt moved since I arrived 12 mins ago, a member finally asked me what the name of my order was-I told her and she went back to the window. More cars passed with their food beside me and Another member came to me saying I needed to pull up, itās now 11:38am I asked her was everything okay bc I had been sitting there since 11:23 and my order was online, and I had seen other customers getting their drinks at least, she said the staff had just started my order!! Wow!! I had just been sitting there this entire time for nothing! So many staff even a male manager with a beard, dressed in all black had passed by me and no had asked about my order that entire time. She asked what drink did I have and She said said she would get my drink and asked me to pull into a parking spot, after she brought it out before she went back in, I asked her how long would the order take bc at this point I was ready to just cancel to be honest. She said maybe 4 mins, she went in to get my drink and when she came out she said they had just finished the order and had my bag. All we ordered was a burger, fries, chicken sandwich and drink , 4 items, sitting in the pick up line for over 20 mins guys mind you per my receipt they received my online order at 11:19am before I had even arrived. I had hoped the food would make up for the wait. But our burger was basically mustard overkill on a bun, the fries were not hot, the chicken bland and was just okay, and soda was super flat but on one good note I like the ice cubes that they use. ā¦I canāt justify coming back anytime soon or recommending this location at all though. Especially coming 45 mins away for me. Food:D; Service: F- ; Come Again?:š¬ I doubt it tbhā¦the cubed ice was my only win. Sometimes a good experience can override midgrade food or great food can give grace to bad service, but unfortunately as a first experience both food and service were a complete fail this round for us. š£ Waiting over 20 mins in a drive thru for an online order and not even being acknowledged or accommodated during that entire wait is diabolical...

Bit since then it has gone down hill a few weeks ago I was in the drive through and was the 5th car in line and it took over an hour to get my food from the time I placed my order . And on Wednesday night I went to get a late dinner for my family. I was in my work truck and could not safely go through the drive through so they did allow me to go into the dining room to order my meal. Well that was the only good thing that happened with this visit . The touch to pay wasn't working correctly and had a devil of a time to get any of my apps to work to pay for the food. Got my wife the avocado burger meal and the fries were not cooked all the way but they made up for with the bread for her burger. It was well toasted and the burger was burned. As for my daughters meal the chucked wings were cooked but not well sauced ie not enough sauce to cover the wings. But tasted good . I ordered the triple burger meal it was OK. And we ordered a brownie which my wife and daughter loved . The three apple pies had issues. One was fine. The second one was a little extra crispy but the third one luckily was mine. I say that because it was made with extra fiber. Yep you guessed it. It had a large piece of thick waxed paper cooked to it I guess from where they took it off the sheet from the box prior to cooking and there was even a larger piece that had covered the middle of the bottom of the pie so it did not cook so it was raw Tried to call the store to talk to the manager on duty. When I did the person who answered the phone said that the manger was busy and to call back tomorrow. Well I called back the next morning and was told by someone who said they were a lead. That I would need to talk to the manager that was on duty and he wouldn't be in until Saturday night. So I'm not going back to this location ever again. There are way to many other places to eat . The first time we halfway expected some glitches, it was about a week after they opened. I donāt remember exactly what was wrong with the order on the first trip, but two combos and neither sandwich was made correctly.
The second trip, our order taker in the drive thru wouldnāt stop sucking on his drink long enough to listen and correctly take our order. We had two combos, one was āJr sizeā. He ended up ordering both sandwiches Jr size. He literally had his large drink tucked into his chest with one arm and he was trying to type our order in and drink at the same time. It was ridiculous. Put down the drink dude.
Our third visit we stopped by before church, just to grab a couple of sweet teas. I went inside because we didnāt want to get stuck in line and be late. I ordered on the kiosk inside and it wouldnāt take my tap-to-pay from my phone. So I moved to the register. Someone from the drive thru finally said to me that the cashier had gone to the bathroom. I just left with nothing.
We still came back the same day after church. The food was right but the line took forever. My daughter was in her car behind us and she waited the same 45 minutes for just a milkshake.
