First things first, waitress Missy was perfectly delightful. No problems there. Now, unless that is supposed to be fresh seafood…I’m talking 48 hours out of the water, it ain’t worth the money. I had the Dungeness crab, craw fish, sausage with the corn, potatoes and du jour sauce. Not worth the money at all!!! First off, who the heck puts sausage coins in low country boil??? Never had chewy smoked sausage before in my life, and I’ve had low country boil in the Louisiana and never seen that. Second, Corn and potatoes were cooked well and the crawfish were fine, little over cooked but not bad. Third, The crab, goodness, I knew it was dead but they killed it twice. I’m 99.997% positive that was frozen. And I paid $15 for half a dern pound. Fourth, the sauce had not been mixed at all with the spices. Take the time to boil your sauce and not have grains larger than your crab claws. Lastly, you can not call yourself a cajun seafood restaurant if you’re not selling jambalaya or étouffée. PERIOD. Was checking this out for a big party but we will go to lost Cajun instead, way better food.

Just imagine that the owners of Luke’s Lobster reinvented the Red Lobster franchise- that’s Crab du Jour. We were blown away by the food quality of this place- which appears to be the new way to eat fine seafood at an average price point. You usually have to go to high end restaurants for good seafood but these people have changed that game completely. Even with the normal hiccups of opening a new franchise, we had a great experience and it’s all about the food. From crab to lobster to fish shrimp and oysters, they didn’t overcook a single thing- which I’ve personally never experience in any seafood restaurant. I’m just glad we have them in the neighborhood now and expect to be a regular customer going forward. The ambience is pretty awesome too, especially for families. I could tell the management really cares, which bodes well for the future of this franchise. If they cook the food this consistently, they’re going to have to deal with crowd control before long.

We visited around 4pm and it was quite so there was not a large crowd the atmosphere was nice and clean. I ordered the wing basket (lemon pepper wings/A++)and a side of boiled eggs. When it the food was served they just brought me two plain boiled eggs and I asked the guy about the sauce and he said no problem he took the bowl back the waitress asked if I got my eggs and I said yes but there was no sauce she then told me because I was not ordering a boil the sauce was not included and it was an extra $3. I have never been charged for sauce. Then they brought the eggs back and it looked like they just poured a little sauce on it and for extra $3 I expected a bowl full of sauce. This was very disappointing to turn a 2.99 side into a 5.99 side is ridiculous!! I'd understand if I asked for a side of sauce and paying but that's really a rip-off!

Food was great but service was terrible. My friends and I had been hiking almost all day. We thought nothing more than to treat ourselves to Crab De Jour but we never expected such horrible service from Alexis. We were laughing about our day and how it was my first time coming to crab de jour without my boyfriend, I was having to open my own crab legs by my friend teaching me. Our waitress seemed to have been disappointed that we were probably not going to tip by what seemed because of race and looking young. She proceeds to come by and hand us the checks as we were still eating, no refills, no “do you guys need anything else”. As we see the bill there is a 10% gratitude put on our checks, keep in mind we were 3 people. Never have I ever heard about adding gratitude for 3 people! This is the first and last time I will ever come to this location. My boyfriend owns a restaurant so I know how the restaurant industry works. I asked to speak to the manager and brought it up to her that it was ridiculous to add gratuity for someone who never deserved it and especially for 3 people. The table behind us had the same waitress, they needed refills but the waitress was never to be found so someone else had to help refill her cups. The manager proceeds to tell us how they always add gratitude on everyone? And how our waitress got us refills but I had to correct her because not one time did our waitress give us refills, ask how we were doing, and how every was. Our waitress kept giving us a smirk and side eye when she was by the computers and grabbing the check book from the table infront of us. How do you expect to add gratitude and give poor service? How do you expect to bring in customers and service be...

Substandard at best. Went in to the new location at 130 on opening day. Table and booth area were clean—things went downhill from there. Hardly any customers. Ordered diet beverages, Chicken wing appetizers, crab leg boil and fish and chips, Asked the server for vinegar malt for the fish and chips since there was none on the table. Beverages initially served were not diet. Meals arrived 35 minutes later. Neither were hot. Fish and chips were greasy and tasted like they were cooked in the same oil. Was informed there was no vinegar for the fish and chips. As we finished our meals the chicken wing appetizers came out..they were dry/overcooked. Very disappointed with the quality of the food and how long it took. Since it was opening day and not crowded I would have thought management would have asked the customers how everything went—didn’t happen. Filled out a survey that we got with the check. Server was personable and did her best considering the circumstances.

At this point won’t be going back unless things improve—was not an inexpensive lunch and quality and service was not there. Realize it was opening day but things have a looong way to go before we go back.

Adding this comment WEEKS after submitting an unfavorable review—-provided comments on service—email address and phone number on review at restaurant—actually opening day—a week or so later got a reply from owner asking for same info so management could discuss our experience—that was weeks ago...since then, no contact—no call—no text—no email—so much for really being interested in...

Will never go back here ever again. Today was my first visit. I went with a friend. We brought a coupon to buy a meal, get a meal free. Worth it when you wanna try a restaurant out. Waitress told us we couldn't use it on weekends. I told her the coupon doesn't say weekdays only. But of course they weren't willing to accept the coupon. Even though they had no right to deny it. It's actually false advertisement to do what they did on the coupon. So we decided we would go ahead and eat there anyways. We were looking at the menu and the prices are way too high. So we decided to pick something from the lunch menu. It was almost noon and we were told the lunch menu is only for weekdays. So we had to pay $11 per plate. Which wouldn't be so bad if the food was good. Fries are tasteless and no salt. There was no salt or pepper on the table. We got a basket of those sad fries and 8 pieces of shrimp each. This meal was tasteless, no flavor. Food was so greasy, unbelievable. Couldn't hardly eat it without losing all the batter in the process. So we basically got 8 pieces of shrimp each for $31. But they have good tea, that's all I can say good about this place. That was a waste of time and money. Save your money and go to long John silver's. It's way better. I promise that! Maybe they'll close down and something good will replace them. They should be ashamed of calling that stuff food. I guess we should've paid more attention to the parking lot. After church a good restaurant is packed. They had hardly anyone there. I'm so disgusted. I...
