Starbucks — Restaurant in South Carolina

You need to gather all the kings horses and all the queens men because I want EVERYONE to know what's going on over here at the starbucks location in surfside Beach in front of Ocean Lakes. Im high-class white trash, i shouldn't even be drinking starbucks every day like i do, but what you dont understand is the top-tier service I get from the staff at this location. Cannon is, above all else, my favorite barista I've come across since switching from Dunkin to Starbucks. The consistent optimism that he has for my everyday depression is enlightening. It's the dopamine for me. It's the smile on his face every day. It's having my order already on the screen when he sees my truck pull up. I can never show my appreciation towards him enough, so i hope starbucks will recognize the sheer happiness he brings every morning when i come through...

First, i am a former fanatic of SB (corporately). During C ovid, their employees turned into “Coffee Nazis” and often times verbally abused customers that stepped out of line or if their masks fell below their noses (i was the victim of such verbal abuse when i reached my hand under the plexiglass partition to grab my order). Sadly, this inexcusable treatment has tarnished their image in my eyes forever. Having said that, the kindness and friendliness of every employee (from the managers to the baristas) at this location has brought me to the point of reconsidering my almost complete ban of SB purchases. They always make me feel like a valued customer (the treatment i used to feel before the lockdowns). Kudos to the managers of this location for fostering such a welcoming spirit....

I went to this Starbucks the past few days and I noticed that the manager, who is normally there at this time, wasn't. I asked an employee named Raina why he wasn't there in case anything happened to him. This employee told me he was fired and said it with such enthusiasm. I was appalled at responce because Gary was the reason I came to this Starbucks even though there are ones closer to my house. For the duration of my time here that employee kept giving me dirty looks because I voiced my concerns about Gary. The nights that I was there late Gary would watch me walk to my car and make sure I got there safe and he always asked me how my food and drinks were.
