I have seen this restaurant for a while, but ignored it because I assumed it was like Tropical Grill, which I don't care for. But, I had to have a very early lunch. I was going to Subway, which I know is open very early for lunch, and I saw that Tropical Burger was open. So, I went there instead. I only really looked at two menu items, the burgers and the pepitos. I opted for a pepito, which is like a hot sub sandwich. It was very good. Because everyone in the restaurant was speaking Spanish, I assumed it would be spicy. It wasn't spicy at all. It was full of flavor, not unbearable hotness. My only problem was that it was huge. I ate half of it and saved the other half for dinner. There is plenty of parking and a lot of seating. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Of course, I was there before 11am, so the dirty public didn't really have a chance to mess things up yet. I noticed two employees working very hard. They were both nice and didn't mind answering questions that I'm sure they've been asked over and over and over. I wish I tried this restaurant earlier. Perhaps it is a name thing. "Tripical Burger" doesn't attract me because we also have "Tropical Grill" and "Tropical Smoothie" in town, and I don't like either of those. Maybe if it was named "Venezualian Hot Sandwiches" I would have been more interested (I just made up that it is Venezualian because I don't really know where the...
Read moreThe food was actually pretty good. I personally prefer a thicker burger patty but from a restaurant/business perspective it makes sense as it's faster to cook a thinner party. I ordered "The Mexican" which has jalapenos, and there was a slightly roasted jalapeno on top of the burger. I love spicy foods but a jalapeno on top of the burger doesn't add much flavor or anything to the burger. Instead the jalapeno should be in the burger as it is otherwise removed and potentially forgotten which is an unnecessary loss to the business economically. The service was quick, but not necessarily attentive, but then again it didn't need to be. The fries were thin and devoid of significant value or flavor. They're okay, but definitely not worth the added cost. They are reminiscent of modern McDonald's fries, they lack flavor outside of salt and grease. A thicker fry may be a better option in the future. Ultimately, the burger was good and the other flatbread type option (starts with a "P") looked fantastic. Definitely a...
Read moreCame here because I was looking for something different and I saw all of the great reviews so I gave it a shot. It did not disappoint.
The food was delicious and had a great presentation. I had the Mexican burger because I love spicy food and it was super flavorful and was actually spicy! The tator-tots were super crispy and nothing like one's you would get from the frozen isle in a super market.
I previously had a kidney transplant which causes me to have no immune system,so I look for places that I feel are clean and use fresh ingredients. The kitchen was incredibly clean and I could see everything being prepared.
The man who took our order was polite, friendly and EXTREMELY accommodating to me and my family. He made sure we had everything we needed and checked up on our table after we received out food. Definitely felt more like a restaurant than a...
