WOW! Since when is negative feedback considered harassment. Tim, excluding reviews of actual negative experiences does not provide consumers enough information to drive realistic expectations. All perfect reviews is impossible and readers want to know what a bad experience looks like at SBH. I have clearly and honestly described my 1 Star experience below. Don’t Bully Customers and Reviewers. Don’t lecture me in an attempt to have me falsify my bad experiences at SBH that worsens with each of your slashing defensive replies!

It’s obvious by the business’ reply they are not interested in being held accountable for poor service and poor restaurant management. I referred to my Amex Statement and my work calendar to confirm that I had in fact been to SBH exactly 4 times. If they refer back to their video recording they will see that I payed with Apple Pay and did not review the receipt, nor did I open the bag to ensure they included everything I ordered. If you re-read my review, you will find that it was an opinion and factual of my experience. It appears to me that your reply is argumentative, unprofessional and a blatant attempt to discredit my experience. You make it obvious by asking me to never return that you do not value customers or their feedback. I will also express my experience to the friend who originally recommended your restaurant who brought me there for my first visit. He actually paid for my meal. My three subsequent visits are documented and I have the Amex receipts.

Not impressed. I have been to this restaurant 4 times, but not again. Without exception they were unable to serve multiple items offered on their menu. The people working behind the counter tag team you with the excuse, “we’re sold out of Ribs” or we’re almost out of that side” or “you can’t order the Judge’s Platter because we’re out of several of the items”. What I can’t understand is how can they be sold out of something on a Wednesday at 5pm when they were closed the two previous days. That indicates they only maintain less than a half day supply of food inventory which is a sign of poor restaurant management. I went out of my way to pick up a meal here and ordered something I did not want because they were out of ribs (third time this has happened to me). I got the brisket and looking back at other reviews, experienced the same dry, flavorless meal. This leaves you only one option if they are out of ribs and don’t like the dry brisket....$17 per pound BBQ. Save yourself the trouble of showing up at SBH Ins possibly discovering they are closed although the Website states otherwise (as noted in other reviews of this place) or being told, “we’re sold out of x y z”. I travel quite a bit and eat out often and have never encountered a restaurant so inconsistent in so many ways. I recommend finding a great recipe and do it yourself. It will be much better quality and significantly cheaper. I purchased baby back ribs at Fresh Market two for one, grilled them slowly on low heat for 1 1/2 hours over 50/50 apple cider vinegar & water with a good dry rub and BBQ sauce painted on in the last 10 minutes and it was better than anything on the SBH menu at less than half the cost! I don’t recommend this restaurant. I don’t think they have their heart in the business and it comes off to me as someone’s hobby. Good luck on finding consistent quality BBQ at a reasonable price in the Greenville area. Invest in a nice grill or smoker and make it a family event at home. SBH will either get better at what they do and how they do it or they will eventually be out of business. I have much better things to do with my time than to bash a business during COVID, but they have made such a bad impression with me I was compelled to let consumers know what to expect.

Lots of hard end pieces...

Ok, let's do a super short review and a really long one.

Short: Eat Here, Your taste buds will thank you!! Friendly, clean, GREAT tasting FOOD!!

Long version. My wife was googling places to eat near us and SBH BBQ showed up, she read some reviews and we decided to give it a try. First, it is the type of restaurant that you order when you walk in, that is my only negative comment here. I enjoy taking my time and looking at a menu of a new place, while 59 other people aren't waiting on me to order, or are going ahead of me in the line. Thankfully, we beat the crowd so I had time to look.

I asked one of the guys what he recommended and I went with his recommendations, so glad I did! I ordered the judge plate. It comes with 2 pork medallions, ribs, brisket, 1/2 hot link and 1 side. Sides are an issue here as everything on the menu looks and sounds absolutely AMAZING!! Of course I added another side.

The pork medallions 10 out of 10! They were delicious, they came with the sweet sauce (I think) on them. I'm very picky with brisket and this was a 10 out of 10, flavorful and tender. The ribs, 10 out of 10, once again, I believe it was the sweet sauce on them. The sauce they put on is very light and it's not too much. The hot link is off the charts! Juicy, hot, cheese oozing out🤤, so good.

The sides: I ordered baked beans, good but I will try others before I order this one again. Poblano Creamed Corn brulee style, O MY!!!! Will order this many times over. Cheesy Potato Casserole🤤, once again a favorite. How am I supposed to try other sides when these are so freaking good?? Oh and the cornbread, 🤤🤤!

My B-E-A-UTIFUL wife ordered the frog man sandwich, a delicious prime brisket, sauced in the sweet BBQ with melted provolone. Yep, it was good! It was also very messy, in a good way! I wouldn't recommend this one if you are on a date and want to look cute while eating. 😎

We also ordered an egg roll. They have one with Mac and cheese, will try it next time. The one ordered was with collard greens, cream cheese, brisket and a raspberry chipotle sauce. It was fantastic!

I wished I would've took pictures of all the trophies in the restaurant. They have won a lot, I think when you taste the food you will understand why! The portions are generous, we did take home a good bit of food, but our recently graduated kiddos got into it before we had a chance to eat the leftovers. They said it was some of the best BBQ they've eaten.

Oh, the sauces on the table are Sweet good but not my favorite. House which is very very good, my opinion it has just a taste of a kick to it. Mustard Vinegar, this is the one for me!! The perfect twang!

The staff was very friendly, clean restaurant, clean restrooms, family friendly. Do yourself a favor and...

MORE BEEF ON THE BRISKIT SANDWICH We had not been to SBH before. I wanted to have BBQ for our date day lunch and so many BBQ joints have popped up in the area over the past 5 years, and so many suck, I wanted to have a fairly good chance of having a satisfactory BBQ lunch. I'm good at filtering through clutter to find worthy possibilities for our $$$s, and SBH looked like a good risk. It was. We will return for dinner soon to try ribs for sure, and probably beef ribs. SAUCES--The two sauces available were excellent. One was mustard vinegar tart and sweet, and the other was a red/brown spicy sweet. Both thumbs up. Unique and great sauces are starting points with me. Good sauce can help make up for shortcomings elsewhere. COMPLAINT--OK, here is my easy to fix gripe/complaint with SBH: If you insist on making cheese a standard component of your beef brisket sandwich, put enough beef on the sandwich to power through the cheese's influence on the overall taste. I enjoy the taste of beef far more than cheese. Cheese should be there to enhance. If it is covering the beef taste any at all, that is a negative distraction. The taste of the beef on my sandwich was smothered by the smoked provolone cheese; in fact the beef was barely visible. I'll pay more for a great sandwich. If I knew the beef portion was going to be so meager I would have had something else. Either serve more beef (and charge more if you have too) or delete the frigging cheese! I had even expressed concern to the nice lady taking our orders about the cheese covering taste of the beef brisket, and that I was considering not having cheese because I wanted to experience the beef, but also it is important to taste "the dish" in the way the "pit master" wishes to serve it, which is why I elected to have the cheese. Next time I'll ask for extra beef, though SBH should want to rectify this, or monitor the portion size better. My wife always has pulled pork. She had a Carolina pulled pork sandwich with creamy coleslaw was the best she had ever had. The pork was moist, smoky and delicious. Bun was nice too. Unlike the beef sandwich I had, her pork sandwich was piled high with pork, so much so I had the pleasure of enjoying the half sandwich she couldn't handle. It was great. The sweet potato crunch was excellent, but my wife didn't like it as much as me. It was loaded with pecans. The cinnamon taste was too strong for her, but I liked it. It is almost a dessert pudding. We would recommend and we...

We would recommend and we will return.
