First Watch — Restaurant in South Fayette Township

Jan 2024 update:

Stopped in for lunch. Still very busy. Got the Veggie Burger which was dry and bland. Used the hot sauce on the table to make it more interesting. The Tomato Basil soup was good. The Brooklyn Breakfast sandwich was very tasty but I would have liked a better bread - one with a crust, like a Kaiser Roll, or a bagel. The Mango Passion Fruit Palmer was a very refreshing drink.

June 2021 update:

They were closed for a while during COVID, but now are back in business. Everything I liked about them is still there. In this visit, we stopped in for lunch. Tables were spread further apart than on earlier visits, and the staff wore masks, but except for that, everything else seemed the same.

We ordered the Turkey Burger with a side of the Basil Soup on their Whole Wheat bread. Except for the funny look it has of thick square bread slices with a round burger patty, it worked great. We also got the seasonal special of the Elote Spicy Mexican Corn Hash - which was also great.

Nice to see them back in operation and not as crowded as they were before. We were seated as soon as we showed up - which was at noon on a Saturday! Upgraded the review to five stars!!

Love the atmosphere. Fantastic server. Alisha is fast and attentive, great personality, and easy on the eyes. Definitely our favorite spot to eat.

UPDATED 9/10/22 So past experiences had led me to give 4 stars, now after 3 sequential visits AND getting my food order INCORRECT, I am giving them 2 stars strictly based on the fact that attention to detail is what's is driving it down. I ASKED for something simple, NO ONIONS on my omelet, and sub a roasted tomato for the fresh tom. They got the tom correct, but still make and send order out with onion. 3 different visit, months apart, and still cant read a order slip.. the kicker to this is, my server carried the order out to me and goes about her business. I can visually see the onion in the omelet just as it sits. So she SHOULD HAVE rechecked the order personally before it left the kitchen window. NOPE...Better ro send it back then, rather than serve it incorrectly. When asked " how is everything?". I said " well its ok, except for getting the onions i DONT WANT." NOW, to be fair, she did offer to have it remade, and i declined. This is simply because I'm not waiting for you to do what should have been done the 1st time. A greater holding of accountability is what this place needs. 3 times a charm, and like in baseball, 3 strikes, your OUT, ...

So many things to love about this place - Breakfast until 230pm on a weekday, An “eggs-clusive” section on their menu, Carrot cake pancakes - You can order just one if you like as opposed to a stack, whole pots of coffee in insulated thermoses left at your table so that you can pour out a little at a time and it stays hot, free WiFi.. First watch is full of so many such thoughtful little additions that strive to make your experience as close to perfect as can be. They’ve a large, well lit space with a semi open kitchen at their Bridgeville location and an expansive menu with breakfast options that only dreams are made up of! Frittatas, French toast, power bowls, sandwiches, healthy options - you name it! They’ve several choices for the non-meat eaters as well. I settled on the avocado toast and a carrot cake multigrain pancake while the boyfriend had the morning market veggie omelette. I loved everything we ate and the bread that they serve is divine. I am definitely going back for their Floridian French toast, the veggie burger, the lemon ricotta pancakes .. oh well.. I guess I’m going back several times!
