Food was good, but service was terrible. My friends and I came here together. They were busy, but not busy to the point where our server couldn't check up on us. We are servers, we get it, but there were many times where our server was doing nothing, while we waited for some help. Water took 5 minutes to come out. We were warned that the food would come out slow which we were completely okay with. Once we got our food, we did not see our server again. We waited for our check for 20 minutes AFTER we had already finished our food. I went up to the counter and asked if we could get our check and split it and were told that they couldn't split the check more than 2 ways. I said that's fine and asked if we could split the check, but pay the larger check with half cash and half card. We were told yes. After giving the cash and card, the person ringing us out (which was not our server because she walked away again) got mad and said that we are basically splitting the check 3 ways which they can't do, even though I asked her literally not even a minute before if that was okay. After we said that, she was huffing and puffing and gave us an attitude the rest of the transaction while still mumbling under her breath how that is 3 separate transactions and how no one around here does that. Read moreWe were seated directly in front of the giant air conditioning unit. There were 2 booths empty, but dirty. When I asked if we could move to the booth because we didn’t want to sit under the air unit, I was told we had to stand outside since there were no clean tables!!! Then she made NO attempt to clear the tables! So we were “ banished” to the outdoors because we didn’t want to sit and freeze during our breakfast, not to mention that our food would have been cold within minutes! It is blowing full force , straight on this table and it is a giant industrial wall unit!! This is ridiculous! Then to be treated as if we were wrong to ask!! In MY many years as a server, I would have said “ yes, of course, let me clear that table off.” If busy, I would have said “ give me just a second to do.,.” Instead we were told , when asked nicely if we could move out from under the air conditioning unit, “!Well, then you have to go outside and stand until we can get a table cleaned!” You lost my business, and NOT just mine, but I plan on sharing this review on every source, such as google, yelp, etc…. Read moreI am writing to share a review and also to apologize to the waitress for my behavior. My family stopped here on our way home from vacation because of the positive reviews. The food was very good, my kids said they were the best pancakes ever!
There was a misunderstanding about what "everything" on a burger means, and I felt stupid after the conversation, which led to anger on my part. I was short in my responses after this point. The waitress continued to serve my family cheerfully and thoughtfully, and even offered my grandma a cup of coffee to go since they were getting close to closing time.
If the owner reads this, please pass on my sincere apologies for not acting more gracefully in the situation. My pride caused me to behave badly, and i'm sorry. If you reprint menus, it might be helpful to include definitions for "everything" and "deluxe." Kids portions for a few lunch items would also...
