Mickey's Dairy Twist — Restaurant in South Lyon

2 weeks ago I stopped to get slushies for my wife and I. It wasn't a slushie, just orange drink. When I asked why is it just liquid the girl at the drive-thru window and said yeah sorry are slushy machine is down but it's still cold so you'll be fine. That would have been nice to know before ordering and paying for slushies that weren't slushies. Took my kids last night to get ice cream with my father-in-law and brother. All of our ice creams came out half melted. My daughter wasn't even able to eat her cone dipped and sprinkles. My son's garbage can only had a gummy worm and some pieces of busted Oreos. My tin roof sundae was melted and mostly slop. My brother ordered a hot fudge sundae and we don't even know what he got lol! Looked like syrup and milk. I don't know what happened to this place, it went downhill fast and it doesn't seem like the owners are repairing what needs to be repaired. It's back to Dairy Queen for ice...

It hit me this week that one of the most used sentences in our family is… “That was a great baseball/soccer/etc. game, we’re going to Mickey’s to celebrate!!!"

I’ve been celebrating family accomplishments and good games at Mickey’s for as long as I can remember, and I’m so excited that I get to do the same with my children!

Their ice cream is delicious, the portion sizes generous, and they have some fun & unique treats for the kids (e.g. their rocket cone and trash can sundae)!

This will be forever our celebration...

I love their ice cream! The drive-thru is really nice too! You have to drive around the back of the plaza to get to it. You order at the window. Menu is hard to read and there is no website. But if you go to their Facebook Page. They have the menu in their pictures. But I took a picture of their menus on their windows. To help others. Because I have a hard time seeing, Hope it helps. Because their ice cream is so good! 😋 They have lots of options too!!! I really enjoy coming here. Great little ice cream place...
