I stopped in to try this restaurant for lunch today. My first time here. Mixed reviews. Pros: Nice menu with great sounding options of which 90% are Thai dishes. Place is clean, nice atmosphere, great service. Cons: Really disappointed with the food. Let me first explain that this is an informed opinion. Second it is only about the Thai food. I lived in Thailand for two years. I have been traveling there for vacations for 40 years, usually spending 4-6 weeks a year there, and yes, a big reason is the fantastic food. Additionally, my wife of over 40 years is Thai and a great cook of Thai dishes. She was also with me for this visit. Back to the food. It looked awesome and fresh. It only lacked taste and seasoning. Pad Thai was pretty much flavorless, no pad Thai sauce. Thai food is ALWAYS served with 4-5 condiments for flavoring various dishes such as stir fry or noodle dishes. These are fish sauce for salty flavor, ground Thai chilies for heat, vinegar for sour, sugar for sweetening and ground peanuts. All authentic Thai will have these at all times for these type dishes. This restaurant was completely missing all of these, so food was extremely bland. I also had the Vietnamese Pho, but won't comment on that as it was pretty much normal for that dish. It was also flavorless, basically water, noodles, meat boiled in water. No seasoning. It compares very poorly to Thai noodle soups and their rich broths and deep flavors. I truly wish the Thai stir fry dishes were more authentic as to flavors. For now, if I'm eating Thai outside my home, I will stick with the 2 restaurants on...
Read moreI love eating out from here. It’s been a few weeks since I last got dinner from here, but it was just as good as it has always been. They never miss. Marigold is a super great restaurant to get food from. Their dishes are always portioned well and super flavorful, no matter what. I’d love to try their wontons someday; if they’re anything like the rest of their food, they’ll be amazing.
Shrimp Pad Thai: 9/10. I love this pad thai. The noodles are spicy and slippery with a wonderful texture. They’re nice and flavorful, and not to mention the shrimp themselves. The shrimp are big and warm, and have an awesome spice and kick to them that pairs perfectly with the noodles. It’s so warm and comforting.
Red Chicken Curry: 8/10. I never usually eat this dish as my parents are the one who order it. However, it’s super good. Spicy and warm, the chicken is perfectly cooked and saturated in the curry. It’s a solid chicken...
Read moreI had the chance to eat here a couple of different times. There food was good and there service was good from what I saw. I figured since it seemed like a great place I would order some take out one day. Well I ordered take out and my husband picked it up. When he came to meet me we realized the order was wrong. We called them and told them that what they gave us was not what we wanted they said that I was in the wrong and that was what I ordered. I told them what they gave me was something I was highly allergic to and that I wanted to come back to get what I wanted. I told them I would drive all the way to get it. They said NO "once you leave we can not do anything about it".. Are you kidding me? I wasn't even able to eat what they gave me. My husband told them that we should be treated better but the lady did not care. We said were not coming back you lost a customer she hung up and said bye... We have...
