Not sure what's up with this location. We usually go to the one in Layton. We were in the area and decided to stop by for a bite to eat.
We were seated right away in a booth but it took 10 minutes for the host to notice that our waitress hasn't come out to even acknowledge us or take, at the very least, our drink order. The host had to go in the kitchen twice to tell our waitress to come out. The place wasn't even packed.
Waitress acted like we were inconveniencing her by being there. We ordered right away and didn't complicate our order. The only thing I think that's a mild inconvenience was that we asked for extra gravy with our order and we didn't even get that until we were almost done with the meal. Had to remind her twice to even get it. She kept forgetting or putting it off.
We asked for to go boxes, it took another 10 minutes to bring us just one. At this point we didn't want anything to do with this place. We left the togo boxes filled with our pancakes and omelette and left to pay for our meal.
Despite being treated that way, we still left a tip. Only because I know that waitress wages sucks and hopefully she was just having an off day. But... we won't be back. We'll just keep going to the other location (Layton) instead. I would much rather have this location go back to being a...
Read moreI was googling restaurants near the location. This restaurant had great reviews. The hostess was friendly. We loved EVERYTHING we "both" ordered! We started with a delicious cup of coffee. It was freshly brewed house blend coffee. I had the hot roast beef with a salad. Savory gravy with slices of delicious roast beef and homemade mashed potatoes! If you love blue cheese dressing, order it and you'll be blown away. It reminded me of Sambos restaurant. My husband had the Phili cheese steak with the most delicious slightly seasoned fries. Someone on a Google review posted a photo of crepes. They weren't on the menu, so I asked the waitress. We ordered 2 amazing fresh berry crepes to go. Based on the interior, it would seem pricey to most people. For me, $15 for hot roast beef seemed too costly, but after I tasted it, I could tell high-quality homemade ingredients were used. It was worth every penny! It was the best food we've had in a long time! I hope we can have this restaurant door dash food to...
Read moreWe love the 12th street location. We wanted to visit South Ogden today and it was the absolute worst service and food we’ve received in 3 years. My daughter and I were given raw eggs when we asked for over easy. The country gravy was thin enough to see through. I politely brought it to the servers attention, she took the plates back to the cook and came back and argued with me about what the cook said over easy eggs look like and said “don’t kill the messenger”. I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 25 years and know what over easy eggs look like, the whites aren’t supposed to be clear and most importantly you don’t argue with a customer over it. I always feel bad sending my food back, but today I just couldn’t stomach the raw egg white on my plate. Oh and a little tip… when a customer orders coffee, coming back to check for a top off should be...
