Today I ate from, Cluck-U Chicken S.O., for the first time in a while and it was absolutely phenomenal. Typically I’d order their legendary Mini Bites, but wanted something a little light. I had ordered their Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap w/ Lettuce, Tomatoes, Parmesan, & Caesar Dressing. The best word to describe the wrap would be Refreshing. The chicken had awesome flavor and the veggies were extremely fresh. For it to not necessarily be intended to be so, it was pretty filling. One can’t really go wrong with Cluck-U. They have some good food for great prices. If anyone is in S.O. and would like some Chicken, def would highly recommend Cluck-U S.O.!

The staff is friendly. The food is good. Great grab and go spot, mainly because the inside is very small. The honey mustard wings are delicious. The onion rings were good, fresh with just the right amount of batter; they would have been better with sauce (guess the ran out🤷🏾‍♀️). I also tried the beef ribs the were ok nice and juicy, but there was more bbq sauce in the container than the meat. This wasn’t a bad experience, just a busy night for a small place.

Tried for the first time and it was good. The fries are very well seasoned, the chicken was tasty and crispy. When you order 12 pieces of chicken you get 5 free honey biscuits. Just make sure you tell them add the honey. The Mac and cheese could use some work in my opinion.

I unfortunately never got to try the food, so I can't comment on its quality. However, I had a terrible experience with this store over the weekend. On Saturday night I called and placed an order for delivery. The gentleman took my order and my address and told me it would be delivered in about 45 minutes.

About 45 minutes later I get a call from the driver he says I'm too far away and that he's turning around (I live 12 minutes away from the store according to Google Maps). He says they normally only deliver within a couple miles and that I was further than that. I said that I gave my address and wasn't told there was any problem. The driver said that if I wanted my food delivered it would cost extra, about $3 to $5 extra. It sounded like he made that up on the spot so I asked what the exact amount was, and whether that's a real policy because it wasn't on their website or the menu that I could see, and they certainly didn't tell me anything about that when I ordered. He said it would be $5 and that the person who took my order made a mistake. I told him I wasn't going to pay anything and called the store.

I spoke to the person who originally took my order and he said he made a mistake and it's up to the driver if he'll deliver my food or not. I couldn't believe it so I asked to speak to the manager. He wasn't there but they have me his phone number.

I called the manager and he apologized but said that they normally don't deliver that far (again, I'm 12 minutes away). I told him I understood that and I'll know that for next time, but I want my food tonight. After asking how much my order cost (around $37), he said he'd see what he could do and would call me back. Around 10-15 minutes later he called back and apologized again and said that he was going in to the store to see what was going on. He said, that he would see if they get any orders in my direction and then call and see if I still wanted the food.

I was furious and asked if he still expected me to pay full price for this food that I was maybe going to get. He said of course I would have to. I asked him for the owner's contact information and he refused to give it to me. I got off the phone with the promise to maybe get my food before they closed. They closed at 2am and I never heard from him and never got my food.

I called Cluck-U's corporate phone number on Monday and the woman I spoke to was very apologetic and surprised by what I told her. Since it was a privately owned store there was nothing she could do but give me the owner's contact information.

I called him and explained what happened to him. He apologized and said that it made him very mad. He confirmed the policy of charging extra for delivery outside of a couple miles and said it should be only $2-$3 extra. He asked me what I would like him to do about the situation. I said it was up to him and I was just shocked at how poor the customer service was and wanted to let him know how unhappy I was with it. He said that he would leave a note and that next time it would only be a $2 extra charge for delivery to me.

Unless I knew that there were some serious changes though, there won't be a next time. I would love to actually try the food at Cluck-U, but it would have to be from a different store. I don't see myself going back to...

Today 8/10/2024 at 12:30 pm over the phone i ordered 2 orders of honey bees . on the menu its says u can get honey , cinnamon or sugar. i ordered honey and powered sugar . when i get there he say my order is almost 12 dollars . i said why is it so much the honey bees are only 3.69 cent each . he said u ordered with sugar and its 1 dollar extra each order. i said well it doesnt say that sugar is extra on the menu here or online . when i tell u i shouldnt have said that . This man got so nasty telling me that i wanted it for free ad nothing is free . he was very loud and disrespectful . i said whoa im just trying to understand why the menu doesnt say it . he proceed to say when u get pizza and u want extra cheese or peperoni doesnt u pay extra ? i said u r absolutely right i do . i said but i know that its extra because on the menu it says that extra topping is extra . again i should have said that neither cause hes telling me thats not how it work and that i just want things for free lol . which wasnt the case i just didnt want to pay for something that have hidden fees . you guys should definitely give customers an option to know what they are paying for . when i tell cluck u have the worst customer service today because the indian elder guy that was at the resgister didnt care about talking to me explaining to me and understanding that anything that have to do withn the cost of an item shoukd have the price there . DONT ORDER FROM THESE PLACE . THEY HAVE HIDDEN FEES AND WILL CHARGE U FOR SOMETHING U HAD NO IDEA ABOUT . AND NOT TO MENTION THIS PLACE HAVE FELL OFF TREMENDLESLY . THE FOOD IS NOT THE SAME FROM YEARS AGO AND MAYBE THEY HAVE NEW MANAGEMENT AND MAYBE THATS WHY ITS RAN THE WAY IT IS ... STAY AWAY...

I have been coming here for well over a decade on & off. The food is decent, however, I had a bizarre experience here the other day that was a bit offputting. I ordered my food, the guy processed my transaction via debit card, & I went outside to wait for my order. I returned 10 minutes later & noticed that a woman was also behind the counter with the man. She confirmed what I ordered being that my food was ready, and hesitantly handed me my chicken sandwhich, while asking if I paid already. No problem, so I responded yes, and she still looked doubtful. All the while, the man who processed my order was taking another order over the phone. I gave him this knowing look, being that he should know I paid for my order already, but when she looked at him to confirm this non verbally, he looked confused and distracted not uttering a word, not vouching for me. This further made her think I did not pay for my order. Finally, I asked them.."Do you want to see my receipt?" He said "No, It's ok." And as I'm walking out, she asks him "Did she pay? Did she pay" I turned around and asked frustratingly "Is there a problem? What's the issue?" The woman was being overtly dramatic while the man was acting like he was in LaLa land. Then she just said "no problem". No apology or nothing for the misunderstanding that was all her fault. Why in the heck would I be so bold to walk in there, place an order, and steal a chicken sandwhich? Once I initially assured her I paid already, that should have been...
