The people were friendly but the General Tso's and fried rice I ordered was the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life. I couldn't even finish it and I think I know the issue.... As privately owned restaurants get to making less money they try to make food and prepped items last longer; in this case that means rice longer beyond the fresh time as well as their meat and vegetables to the point where it has started to go bad....hence the number of one-star reviews. I get it, they are trying to survive. However they need learn a way to improve and reduce extending their items beyond a fresh date or either An individual or group will get sick and they will be sued for food poisoning or gross negligence (and shut down by the health department) or They will lose business to the point where they can no longer stay open.
I wish them the best, and on the right day I'm sure they are decent if not good, but food this old and reusing their items to the point of spoiled is dangerous and unsanitary. I won't take a chance...

The flavor actually was so strong it ruined the dish. In addition it was over cooked to the point of being chewy. We decided we would try the other local Asian restaurant, but then thought we would go back to Hong Kong Restaurant one more time, since they were always so good. It appears that they may have sold to new owners, which may explain the difference in cooking methods. If there is no change, I’m sorry to say we will not be...
