No bench by the play area. I have a permanent injury in my hip that makes standing hard. Would be nice to sit and look after my toddler. The picnic tables here are too far from the play area. With the water here I wouldn't feel safe sitting that far in case she made a break for the water. Also it's pretty warn down. The "features" are either worn out or water stained (like the spyglass is so full of hard water on the lens you can't see thru, the whirls have no knobs. Etc) I think this is the only playground on this island so I guess vacationers and rich people don't...
Read moreThe city of St. Pete. Beach has events here quite often, and when they do it's always a fun, safe, family friendly and awesome experience. All f the art shows, the bazaars, the concerts - all have been great experiences. You can get the schedule from the rec center next door. Bring your blankets or folding chairs, some snacks and enjoy what the city offers. As a side note, they also often have the awesome grilling talents of the local firefighters on hand serving up dogs and burgers! Excellent park...
Read moreThis is a wonderful park. It’s right off the water around the corner of st Pete beach. Every year around October they put on free concerts. The fireman serve cheap hotdogs and soda— bring cash. I have been to the 4th of July party it was great! I’ve seen about 5 bands here. The park is beautiful. You may want to leave early because traffic will be backed up. Bring chairs, food, blankets. and anything else to have...
