If you are in the St.Pete Clearwater area the StarLite Sapphire is a MUST! We had the most wonderful evening everyone and everything was perfect. First off it is a new yacht (we went December 8/24) itâs beautifully decorated and spotless including the restrooms. We had a window table at the front on the main floor right next to the dance floor. We were immediately greeted by the nicest woman âStephanie â such a welcoming bubbly personality. The rare type of person who makes you feel like you are the most important person there. Of course she spoke to everyone like this, sheâs just lovely. We thought she was the DJ but no we soon had the most wonderful surprise when the music started. Stephanie is the Singer and has the most beautiful voice that matches her personality. She has a wonderful repertoire of songs from the 1950âs on up. We told her a story about our wedding and how my husband is my special angel he really is and we started our wedding dance with Bobby Vintonâs 1957 hit âYou Are My Special Angel â. At the end of the evening she surprised us with âYou Are My Special Angel âand it was wonderful we hadnât danced to it since our wedding 12 years ago. We are young seniors but fairly newlyweds. The music was so great we danced most of the evening. Our waitress was âLaurenâ a really nice young lady and great server. They have an amazing menu and everything is cooked fresh onboard by Chef Tim an outstanding chef. The yacht holds 150 guests and he does an amazing job and special requests. Itâs an extensive menu for a dinner cruise even a Vegan dish. Salmon, Red Snapper,Chateaubriand, RibeyePork steak, Shrimp I donât recall everything however there is something there to please everyone. I have a rare disease and must have nonfat/low fat no sugar diet. I had the Red Snapper with red&green peppers atop, green beans steamed to perfection and yummy rice. Itâs a 3 course meal that starts with a delicious salad of mixed greens, mandarin oranges, raisins, seeds, parmesan cheese served with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Chef removed the parmesan cheese for me heâs an excellent cook but above all very accommodating . We spoke to him really nice fellow and he told us he will cook any request he can with the ingredients onboard and he has a lot. After the salad & delicious fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping everyone chooses their own entree and dessert of the day completes the dinner. They also have appetizers that are extra but a nice variety and so reasonably priced. I had a shrimp cocktail the 6 shrimps were huge and I loved the tangy cocktail sauce you can tell that it is freshly made it didnât come out of a jar. My husband had a delicious baked brie encrusted in a nice light flaky pastry and I believe the side sauce is apple but not certain. I just know it was fabulous once again to perfection. He really is an amazing chef to cook for so many people from scratch and serve right on time at 7:30. My husband had the Land and Sea which was chateaubriand that melts in your mouth served with shrimp. It was also served with tasty rice and green beans. We enjoyed dinner immensely dessert was cheese cake w/caramel sauce& oreo cookie crumbs atop. I canât have sugar so my husband had 2 slices and said it was marvellous. It was truly the best meal we had during our entire month in the area. We ate at some very nice restaurants along the beach and this was by far the very best. Iâm so impressed that Chef was so accommodating to my special diet. Oh the appetizers were just $9.95 And Lauren our server had her timing down pat, excellent server. Not overbearing but there when you needed her. She was working the upper level dining room where the full bar is located and had us and another table on the main floor and yet an excellent job.The bar menu is quite extensive with a very good selection of wines and cocktails.Views are wonderful great for special occasions there were several birthdays & anniversaries. People of all ages 6-92. Itâs just a fantastic experience we enjoyed our evening so &...
Read moreVery mediocre to sad. Took the whole night for the food to come out. 30 mins between each plate. Bread. Salad. An appetizer we ordered. Then the entree. The supposed DJ was a lady that sang Disney songs and Frank Sinatra. We were right by the poor quality speaker she was singing/ (shreaking) into. We asked to move tables and they told us to ask our waitress so we did. She said no we could not move to a quieter spot. She was snappy with us twice and flirted with the men at the table next to us like she was gonna jump in their laps and laughed with the same boistrous cackle at everything they said. They made fun of her the whole trip. My head was pounding and I was laying it on the table by the time we got back to the dock. Cost about $150 for the two of us. We celebrated our Anniversary and wanted something a little different. Well I guess we got it. Lol. They really didn't have space to sit and enjoy the views. Or quiet space to sit and talk or have drinks and relax. There was a wedding party we sat next to that was the focus of everything. The DJ lady with a face shield just started talking to us and I thought she was with the wedding party. She didn't introduce herself and started asking us personal questions and then told us how much fun this cruise would be. Then I realised she was the boat staff. They canceled the trip 2 nights in a row in Clearwater then told us the 3rd night we had to drive 45 mins to St Petersburg if we wanted to go. So we stayed an extra night to go on the dinner boat. Not pleasant in any way really. The mixed drinks were good. The warn bread was about the size of my fingernail or a crouton. Glad we ate before we left. The fettuccine alfredo tasted like milk sauce. There was nothing else really on the menu that looked worth ordering or exchanging it for. We boxed it up after a few bites for the dog. Thankfully we went for the experience not the food. The retired lady singing little mermaid songs in a flowery tank top was almost too much. We waited for the song choices to improve and they never did. Anyways.... We saw a great sunset before we went on the cruise. We will remember that sunset for years to come. And choose to to forget the wedding singer lady and the...
Read moreChartered this yacht for our wedding ceremony and reception aboard for 65. It was fabulous! All our guests had a wonderful time and raved about their meals. When you book a wedding with StarLite, the wedding practically plans itself. They have the option of a Captain officiant, provide a DJ/audio equipment, wedding coordinator, 6 entree options for guests ordered onboard so you don't have to count who wants what in advance, full service dining and bar, linens and so much more. You don't have to stress centerpieces or decor, the yacht is gorgeous. They are also flexible enough that they can help you make it your own too. They worked with me on table layout, suggested seating assignment options, provided cake, ceremony, guestbook and gift tables, flexible bar options, took my music selections, helped incorporate traditions we wanted to take part in (like toasts, dances, cake cutting, tosses, etc). The staff are friendly, service oriented and experienced. They have it down to a science. I can't imagine the jumbled mess it could have been had I DYIed my wedding events because they have already thought of everything. Max, our Coordinator and Operations Manager was with us through planning, tours, rehearsal and even throughout our charter for anything we needed: they had pretty table numbers and cake cutters for us to use, he helped with the flow of events/timelines, answered all our questions and offered solutions, he and his staff were instrumental in making our event feel easy and effortless. I brought my own helpers board with me to set up the extra stuff we brought aboard. Lastly, it was very affordable and at a huge value for all we got. This venue was one of the best decisions we made about...
