Read morePapa John’s South Plainfield is known for its consistently good quality pizza with a focus on fresh ingredients. The crust is typically soft and slightly chewy, with a noticeable garlic butter seasoning that many customers enjoy. The sauces, especially the pizza sauce and the signature dipping sauce(Garlic and Spicy Garlic), are a standout for their tangy and flavorful profiles. Toppings are plentiful and of decent quality, though some might find them a bit standard compared to other pizza chains.
One of Papa John's biggest selling points is their commitment to using better-quality ingredients like 100% real mozzarella cheese and antibiotic-free meats. They also offer a variety of specialty pizzas, such as the "The Works" or "Papadia" (a pizza-burger hybrid), and a decent range of side options, including breadsticks and chicken wings.

Read moreI had a terrible experience with both the Papa John’s in Edison (Rt 27 near JFK Hospital) and the South Plainfield location on October 19th. I placed an order by phone through the Edison store, which transferred the order to South Plainfield since our location (MLK Cricket Ground) was in their delivery zone. I prepaid $57.98 — and never received the pizza.
When I followed up, they claimed the driver called me and left after waiting 15 minutes. I was in the middle of a cricket match and didn’t realize I was supposed to be watching for a call — but no one attempted to deliver the food in person or leave any note. Since then, I have called both stores multiple times.
The Edison manager, Rupender, was rude, dismissive, and even hung up the phone. The South Plainfield manager, Vikas, was equally unprofessional and refused to issue a refund despite clear proof that no pizza was delivered.
This is an unethical and unacceptable way to treat paying customers. I had 20–25 people present who can confirm that no delivery ever arrived. I’m extremely disappointed and will never order from Papa John’s again unless this issue is resolved.
Save yourself the frustration — these locations have zero customer service, no accountability, and no respect for...
