Los Metates — Restaurant in South San Francisco

Just flew in from AZ and decided to stop here based off of the Google reviews. I'm a gluten free vegetarian and I'm allergic to wheat so I am gluten free too. The cheese enchiladas were great, and the veggie taco was massive. My girlfriend got the shrimp taco and a ceviche tostada and loved hers. Portions are huge, food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. I would say this restaurant is on par some of the best Mexican restaurants we love back in AZ. As some folks say... if i could've left no stars, i would've. I love tacos and eat them from A LOT of different Taquerias. These are simply put... AWFUL 😖. A plate of slop. Tortillas dropped in a to go container and meat just thrown on top, Barely any onions and cilantro. And a container of some watered down salsa that tasted like dish soap!! REALLY DISAPPOINTED!! I'm thankful Google recommended this place! I was looking for food after we landed because we were starving and Los Metates is super close to the airport.
