This McDonald's refused to give me my food from an order placed on the app, and I had to do a charge back with my credit card to get my money back. Do NOT go here.
Tried to do a Drive-Thru mobile order. Either due to cashier or technological issues, my order couldn't be found but I was sent an email receipt. By time I got to talk to a manager at a food pick up window, app was no longer showing the code. Manager made me come into the store to handle the issue, which was reasonable. Showed him my email receipt and verified address on receipt with him. It also shows the time of the order. He blamed me for using the app, telling me that I "chose to use the app" and that he couldn't do anything because I ordered with it. He said that he could only do refunds off things ordered in store. He implied I didn't know what I was doing by asking if I had ever used the mobile app before and that I have to contact the app people if I have a problem with it.
So fine. If he wants me to go to the app people to figure out my mobile order problems, I said I'd do that, but we could do it his way, since I was on lunch and I needed food. I then asked to order the same thing and honor the deal. He told me I couldn't have my deal because I didn't have a coupon code. The coupon code consumed by the mobile order of the food he WOULDN'T GIVE ME which is further evidence that my order was processed and I was charged. He had me wait on the side to find a coupon code and I had to choose a different coupon.
Tried to get a response from the receipt survey, tried to find resolution through the app feedback, tried calling customer care on the receipt after work. Nothing. Waited 3 days to see if the charge would post. Charge was posted. Followed up with customer care and was helped by Armando who was much more courteous, but ultimately couldn't help. I mentioned that I suspected the manager, allegedly Jesus, was racist towards me. Armando replied that they "do not hire racist" people. Safe corporate answer. Fine. No corporation is going to admit that. Doesn't make sense for him to not honor the deal if he wasn't profiling me or identifying me as a scammer. Armando explained the company as a whole was dealing with a lot of scam and fraud and that the manager was following his procedures, that the resolution would require a general manager, who may not be there, and I would have to call the store because he can't give personal numbers or that I could do a charge back. I mentioned that the store doesn't really answer their phone, seemed to recognize this as an issue for this location in particular, and he said that charge back would be easier.
The fact that the manager in store on the day of the incident couldn't handle this gracefully is embarrassing. The fact that I have to chase down my refund is unacceptable. The fact that I had to charge back a McDonald's order...
Read moreStopped by with a friend around midnight after picking him up from the airport. Got to the drive-thru speaker, the guy says, "cash only". Me and my buddy check if we got some spare cash between us and yes. So, I say "we'd like to order", guy repeats, "It's cash only". We order a couple of McChickens, a large fry, and a drink. I ask him how much is it going to be. He answers, "Second window" and I repeat, "ok, yeah how much is it going to be?". He just kind of is stuck, "uh um uh, go to the second window"... I drive up to the second window, ask the lady how much it is, she asks our order again. The guy I guess who took our order starts repeating it in Spanish. We're waiting for a good 5 minutes, then as they're prepping the bag. The guy comes back and is like, "ok, $10". My friend and I look at each other like there's something up. I hand over $20, he gets my change then walks away. The lady comes and hands me the bag. I say thank you, check out the bag to see if everything is there. She closes the window and walks away when I turned to ask for a receipt. My buddy and I agreed that it seemed very shady, especially since I can't imagine those items added up to $10, I might be wrong, but it seemed very shady without explanation. Suffice it to say, I'm gonna steer clear from...
Read morethis McDonald's currently refused to serve food to working professionals driving Personal Electric Vehicle. they stated they only serve food to vehicles in cars when dining room is closed. this is not morally correct. refusing service based on transportation mode IS a form of discrimination. if someone has money to buy food to eat the morally correct thing to do is sell your product to them regardless of transportation means. I have already filed a complaint with their corporate in Hope's this discriminatory sales policy is reversed. also they do not advertise nor say this anywhere in their policy that I can find in writing anywhere. so long story short this establishment discriminates in the drive through by not selling food to persons operating a personal electric vehicle such as scooter. bicycle. skateboard etc. if corporate can validate their reasoning and / or change their policy or at least validate it and put it in writing so the world can know I'd love to share this policy with everyone in my network. also if they reverse their beliefs I will editor discard or at least update this comment after corporate responds in writing ti me. thank you all...
