My daughter and I were wanting to try a new restaurant tonight and we ended up here. We were immediately greeted and taken back to a table. Once we were in the dining room, the host noticed that a booth, in the corner, was being cleaned and asked if that would be better for us since I had Buddy, my service dog, with us. We had a short wait, less than a minute, and we were seated. We were immediately brought waters, chips and salsa. Our server then showed up and explained a few things on the menu and even brought me a sample of 2 typed of beef to try so I would know what I was ordering. Our cheese crisp came and it was delicious. Our meals came and my daughter had ordered chicken but was rought beef. Our server, Karina. took care of it right away and brought her a new plate that had the correct meal. We never had to ask for anything, including refills. Karina is an amazing server. She treated every single table in her section, including ours, with such detail, kindness and efficiency. I am not sure how long she's been there but she definitely deserves a raise or a bonus. She worked her butt off tonight. Every other person that works there is just as awesome as Karina. We will definitely be back.

We had a team lunch at Double L. I haven't been there in seven years and it didn't disappoint. Our table was ready in a huge side room when they opened, even though our reservation was for 11:15am. The room was decorated with traditional Mexican decor with music in the background. I ordered the combination #3 Red Chili con Carne. The meat was tender and the red sauce was perfect with not too much chili. The refried beans were fresh and traditional. The homemade tortilla was hot, fresh, and the perfect thickness. Six other teammates at the table ordered chimis (shredded beef, red chili con carne, or carne asada) enchilada style. They were huge and long as the big plate, topped with lots of red sauce and cheese on the very top. Let's just say there weren't any leftovers. The service was fantastic! The food arrived hot and fresh within 10 minutes of ordering. The wait staff was super friendly and kept our drinks full throughout the meal. We were in and out within 50 minutes.

Gonna first start off by saying the young lady that was our server is what made the evening (3 stars otherwise). If all servers were like her the food would always taste a little better, and let me add there were 13 of us! My Red Chili Chimichanga on the other hand was Okay. I always have to say that if you are gonna have Red Chili on the menu then I am gonna have something to say about it. The beans and rice were tasty. It seemed like I was just eating a Carne Chimichanga. The Chili was too bland for me, and was waiting to bite into some spice but it was not there. I had a Cheese Crisp with Green Chili strips and it was tasty, a little too much cheese for me. That was another thing with my Chimi, they put way too much cheese on top. So, if you are a cheese lover than this is the place! If the service is consistent than the experience will be good. Asked the group about there meals and all enjoyed, but one. Recommend:)

Like others have mentioned, the service is very friendly, but slow.

The food, however, is pretty bad and expensive. I was pretty shocked when I saw the menu prices, and I consider their portions the same as any other place I’ve been to. The chips and salsa are also not great. Not the worst, but be prepared to be pretty much be eating spicy pizza sauce….

They want $13 for a basic cheese crisp?!?! Granted, that was actually the best thing we ordered that night. $13 is wild, but ok.

Tamales are dry and the sauce they use on top is bizarre compared to anything I’ve ever had in Arizona. No chili or other distinct flavor, just essentially chicken gravy of some sort.

I was so excited about the beans, because I am pretty certain I tasted lard in them… but the lard was unfortunately stale/rancid… leaving that “old seed” or “stale nut/expired oil” bitter flavor at the end.

Rice was standard.

Fajitas are 95% onions and peppers. So, if you like mostly veggies with practically zero meat for your fajitas… go for it. And you get one massive tortilla instead of individual tortillas if you order flour. Pretty bland, too.

Barbacoa estilo Sonora was actually flavorful. Overpriced, but tasty. I had no idea what to expect due to no info on the menu, but I think it was good. No sauce, just cinnamon/holiday’ish spiced beef/pork.

Cocktails/margaritas are standardly unimpressive, but the beer was super cold and served in frozen mugs. The sodas aren’t a safe choice either - they were completely flat, which is why I switched to beer..

Overall: service is friendly but slow; food and drinks are expensive and really bad; The best things you’ll get are an expensive cheese crisp and a beer. Absolutely cannot recommend this place.

Parking was pretty good,...

When we went in we told the lady's at the counter if they had a bar to have a couple drinks to kill time for an appointment nearby. They said no but we can sit to have our drinks without a problem. We ordered a special .70 cent Margarita. They brought out chips and salsa and when the waitress brought our margaritas and asked for our order we told her we told the lady/owner we were just having 2 drinks and then said we were not allowed to have the special since we were not ordering food and grabbed them from our table. We said that's fine bring us a reg size one at full price, we didn't care of the size or price. When we were leaving she said to go to counter to pay. The counter lady asked for our ticket and we said she told us to go pay w/o ticket. Well now she had to go find waitress to get our ticket and then charged us for our chips. The chips were more expensive than the 2 margaritas and we said we didn't order them and were just brought to us. Well because we used up a table and they lost revenue, mind you it was dead with no one waiting for a table, and didnt order food they had to charge us the chips. The waitress or the owner could have said this it earlier in our interaction rather than wait till we had some. They were so salty we only had maybe 2 chips each and we paid almost a meals equivalent in price for them. The whole interaction was rude with waitress and the poor girl at register was only doing her job and put in an awkward position. Not cool to bring you stuff and not tell you we are charging you more than the price of the 2 margaritas...

I usually don’t leave reviews, but it either has to very good or not so great. Today was a not so great.

I brought my family for lunch, on recommendations from other people and reviews for the place.

We ordered guacamole, it arrived at room temp, the chips were stale, and had few areas brown from it oxidizing in the window. I usually don’t complain but this time I did. The server took it away, few moments later a gentleman came out with a new one. It was cold this time but was lacking flavor again.

We ordered breaded shrimp meal for my son, mole for my daughters and my wife got enchiladas. I ordered the milanesa plate.

It was all terrible. The beans had a burnt flavor, the milanesa taste like it was cooked with old oil on the flattop grill, rice was a bit old, on all the dishes.

The breaded shrimp tasted like old shrimp, the mole, although i didn’t taste it, my daughters said was flavorless with hints of sweetness of chocolate. The enchiladas also lacked flavor. The only things that were good, was the lemonade and water.

We all had upset stomachs after eating here. My sons was complaining about his stomach before we even left.

This restaurant needs to take more pride in the food they serve, including the canned tomato sauce with oregano and some chilis they serve as salsa.

Service was...
