The Pub — Restaurant in South Windsor

The Pub is a nice little hole in the wall establishment. They have surprisingly good food for an unassuming joint. They’re burgers are delicious and their wings on point. The bar has had a nice facelift since new ownership a few years back and the staff and bartenders are friendly. They have a pool table, wall mounted jukebox, a good amount of brews on tap, and make pretty solid mixed drinks. They also have live entertainment on certain nights and do Karaoke too. Nicole is the best bartender imo and she has an amazing memory. I tend to visit the place about 8-10 times a year and she remembers what I drink without fail. I only wish they would bring back the Friday Happy Hour like the old owner had with an amazing spread of free buffet app style dishes. They would have sausage and peppers, potato skins, mac n cheese, soup, etc…It was a gem!! Still good, but maybe those days have to end due to this wonderful inflationary time we are living in. I'm putting 5 star for atmosphere bc the staff is amazing even though my party was dealing with an obnoxious racist man... When he opted to try to get in my face (the only 1 white girl at table with 4 black men) and they stopped him. He tried to call the police and act as if he were the victim and the staff who saw what transpired made sure that my friends were safe as well as other patrons of the bar. Regardless of the situation that occurred i feel very confident and proud to be giving business to an establishment that makes sure that everyone is equal. I believe I did a review already on this. Can't comment on the food. But for the first time and probably over five well before the pandemic. I remember on Fridays they used to do karaoke they still do. Met up with an old friend I hadn't seen in years. Atmosphere was awesome! The sound system was great! The Old John Fitch pub now called the pub? If I've got that right. Still that small town local bar feel. I will be sure to return. So if you're looking for something to do and you don't want people bothering you. Just having a good time this is an awesome place to go was back then...
