El Parian Steaks & Tequila - Zanesville — Restaurant in South Zanesville

The decor is fairly consistent with a restaurant of this style. Inside was clean and food came out quick. I came with my best friend and the service was terrible. I ordered a small margarita and my friend ordered a large. The waitress brought us both a large and when I asked about it she said "oh sorry I was just concentrating on getting her drink right." Move to the food. I had also asked for a water and it took 10 minutes to get it. When I got her attention for the 4th time and asked for it again, she just continued to laugh and joke with her friends that were seated at another table. Once the food came, my friends was fine and mine was messed up. The burrito was missing the ground beef because she rang it in wrong, and once I asked her about it (after eating only 3 bites) and she said "oh it should have had ground beef in it..." And then took my plate away. When we got the bill, she charged me for the margarita which I only drank half of, and full price for the burrito, which I didn't eat. Asked to speak to a manager, and proceeded to wait 15 minutes. Approached the counter, and we were told there is no manager we can speak with...? So my friend asked them to please adjust the bill, (as should have been done in the first place) and they argued with her for 5 minutes about how they were not going to adjust it. My husband and I stopped here today (Mother's Day). We could smell the food (in a good way) from the parking lot. The dining area was very clean, but a little cramped. They were quite busy, as we expected. We were seated immediately in a booth that we just barely fit into (and before you wonder, no, we do not weigh 3 or 400 lbs). Our server was there within just a couple minutes to get our drink order and returned with it promptly. He gave us a decent amount of time to look over the menu when we told him we would need a couple minutes to decide. He was very thorough in making sure he understood what we wanted, which was noce to avoid any mix ups. The food came out quickly and was fresh and steaming hot. All of it looked appetizing when served. The appetizer of Nachos Mexicano were very good. More toppings than chips, which is a nice change. Chile rellanos were a little on the bland side (needed salt). My husband enjoyed his beef burrito, and I ordered the Taquotos Mexicano, which were also good. The prices were reasonable and since I hadn't consumed even half of my soft drink, our waiter brought me a fresh one when I asked for a to-go cup (I only expected a cup and lid to pour my drink into), which was a pleasant surprise. Been coming to this place for years. Always enjoyed myself and always left a good tip. I get a call today telling me my picture being posted online for leaving without paying. Keep in mind this supposed to happen last October. I go back there today to try to clear up the misunderstanding. I explain to the host why I’m there and ask for the manager. This guy walks up and I explain again why I’m there and He goes “ oh yes, you’re the guy who left without paying “ . right out front of the restaurant. So I raised my voice and said I did not steal from here! I’ve spent hundreds of dollars here and always left good tip! I ask if he was the manager he said no and tried calling him and he didn’t answer I’m pissed at this point and I ask for someone in charge or the person who served me so we can get this cleared up. The guy told me there’s no body in charge there and he didn’t know who served me. I told him if he didn’t take my picture down I was going to sue them for slander. He shrugs his shoulders and said Do whatever you want. I will never step foot in that place again and I will tell everyone I know about what they did to me and how they handled the situation.
