McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Southaven

Thus store was ran good when BROOK was the general manager. When she left to go to olive branch it went down hill. The Employees are all busy talking texting and chatting about their personal lives while people are just standing waiting to be greeted. I have never seen such disrespectful employees in any MCALISTERS anywhere. Bring BROOK BACK or I will go to Brooks Store. I wrote a letter to the Corporate office of MCALISTERS about how wonderful & awesome BROOKS MANAGER SKILLS ARE & I am about to write a new letter to tell them they need to let BROOK find and train another manager. Because the service is down right disrespectful & this type of review can make it break a place. I don’t know how people put up with this NON SENSE. PEOPLE ARE HUNGARY & many don’t have time to listen to the EMPLOYEES GAPPING over their personal lives while totally ignoring customers who walk in and are just left standing there you need to put in a SELF SERVICE MACHINE WHERE I CAN WALK IN & ORDER MY FOID ONNA COMPUTER INSTEAD OF HAVING EMPLOYEES WHO DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS AT ALL. We all deserve better. I quit this store due to this behavior. Personally fire the General Manager. Because it starts at the top. Where are the Store Supervisors that are supposed to be checking in on the general managers where are the secret shoppers ??? This place I would SHUT DOWN ASAP & have a serious meeting with the OWNER & GM & Asst Managers. This is beyond crazy the way this store is being ran. I know the owners and I expect better. I made two separate mobile orders at this location. Shortly after I placed the orders, I came inside and sat down to wait on my order to be filled. About 10 minutes after my estimated time of food & drink being ready, I went up to the counter to check on my order, only to be told that they were out of both items and I would need to choose something else entirely. In regards to service, I felt they lacked the appropriate amount of time in regards to handling in order efficiently and effectively. I used mobile order to order ahead so I could take care of all of my business before work, which I was not able to. Just to note my orders were to be ready at 1:10 /1:13 and I did not receive my order until 1:45 pm. I’m all good for having a great working team and atmosphere at a business but when conversation becomes more important than caring for customers is a big concern. They seem more attentive towards one another rather than customers, another employee is sitting on the phone constantly.

Food: Originally, I ordered was a bowl of red beans, bowl of kickin’ crab chowder, and an unsweetened tea, which they were both food items. Normally, I do not have many issues at this particular McAllister‘s, but today I was completely disappointed. They did replace my order with chicken tortilla soup and half BLT.. Bacon is kind of hard, not like crispy but hard and chewy. It’s terrible. McAllister‘s please stop putting cold pickle spears on top of hot sandwiches/food! The chicken tortilla soup is hot and tasty. Unsweetened tea winded being sweet tea. They had their jugs mislabeled. Really bad...

I am extremely disappointed in McAlister's but I will start by saying the service was okay I truly don't have no complaints there it's just the food. I haven't been to McAlister's in I would say 6 months now so I decided to come back the last time I did come I had pretty much the same results as now the sandwiches were extremely small if you were to get there pick 2 deal don't do it I ordered two of the pick 2 deals two kids meals and some dessert for my family I wish I had spent that money somewhere else. Back in the day when I used to go to McAlister's all the time on my lunch break I used to get the broccoli and cheese soup now it's flavorless it to be honest nasty the sandwich bread wasn't fresh it made the sandwich look worser than it was and taste the same the meat save the sandwich but that was about all bacon was too hard the bread on the sandwich was so small I didn't understand how they could sell something like that. For that pic to you get half sandwich and a half a bowl of soup I left there unsatisfied because the food was so nasty that's not the McAllister I remember the flavor of the broccoli cheese soup had you thinking of the old times when your mother used to make it. It had you wishing you knew the recipe so you can make it at home most of all you knew you had to come back and try that soup again.
