My family of 5 entered into this establishment for breakfast at around midnight. We sat down and look over the menu. Our waitress Jessica, doing the usual thing proceeded to asking what we wanted to drink. We all ask for something different for the most part; which is a common thing. Well the coffee cup I received had lipstick around the rim. I respectfully asked Jessica for another cup and she replaced it. Fast forward...we place our orders and patiently waited for our food to be cooked amd brought to our tables. As the food begin to come out, there are some minor issues...i.e. hashbrown cook too hard when it was suppose to be lightly, butter on toast when ot wasn't suppose to have butter..etc. As we're telling our waitress Jessica of the issue with the food, she's having to walk back and forth from our table to the grill a few times. Which is normal because you're the waitress and that's your job. Well Jessica became irritable and very unprofessional. When asked about the waffle that hadn't been brought to the table, Jessica proceeded in making comments(aloud enough for us(the customers) could hear..."I only have two hands.....", "I can't keep walkn back and forth", "I'm 48 yrs old, my back is hurting". When ask if she was having a bad day....she responded by saying "we've made a thousand dollars today, so you tell me"....At that point, We were really taken back by the way Jessica was treating us. She ultimately stopped waiting on us and went a sat down while still making unprofessional comments out loud. The cook began doing her job...asking if we needed anything and showing us where to find the Manager's information. As we were checking out...I commented to Jessica very politely that she was very rude, unprofessional, wrong, and that our only mistake this morning was chosing to dine in this particular Waffle House. Noone deserves this type of service at anytime. Jessica deserves to be reprimanded for her actions and retrained on her customer service skills, more particularly on what NOT to say to customers or in the presence of customers. This will definitely not be a Waffle House that I would...
Read moreUpdate: 11/30/21 I went to waffle house today and there was only ONE person there working. His name was Quan Rudley. He was Fabulous! My food was cooked perfectly and everything was hot. He waited on everyone at the bar area and did Togo orders too. He said he has worked for waffle house for 7yrs. I'm sure that is why they left him alone there. I sure hope they appreciate him and all the others that are working short because this is ridiculous! Quan was great though.
11/25/21 My husband and I are travel nurses. We just got back from Oregon where they have no waffle house. I told my husband I have to go to waffle house to get a REAL waffle, eat decent grits, and listen to music on the jukebox.
Well, Waffle house is open but, only taking Togo orders. We went to 2 other WHs until we got to this one with Tina and James. They were fabulous! I explained that I needed to reaclimated after our trip. So while we waited we sat at the bar. I asked if I could play the jukebox, Tina said sure! Then she gave me $2 to put in the JB. That meant a lot to me! When we got our food togo my over medium eggs and grits were PERFECT! I told James you put your foot off in these grits! ;-) LOL! (If you know anything about good cooking you know that is the ultimate compliment.)
Anyway, my husband and I decided we were going to eat in our car while it was hot. (We had a 20 min drive home.) So they let me salt, pepper, and butter my grits and eggs to taste. (I like to mix my eggs and grits together, yummy! Don't knock it until you try it.) Everything was FABULOUS! So I want to say thank you to Tina, James, and WH for a job well done! Thank you and have a...
Read moreI left feeling torn and irritated! I took my children here to eat today. We waited for a table to be cleared and as we were waiting I noticed one particular waitress struggling to complete all the task she was ordered to do. I did not nice any other worker moving as fast or doing anywhere near as much as this lady. Finally, after the manager stood in the same place for at least five minutes went to help clear our table. I ordered my steak medium rare and received it rare. I assume the fat waitress had the cook preoccupied with her chest all on his back, but not my business.. waitress made coffee and when the coworkers used it did not help by making a new pot. As I went to check out I noticed my waitress taking care of other tables and being ordered to make more waffles. This poor woman ran and ran the hole time I was there while her coworkers moved at their own pace. My waitress came to ring up my order and was bumbarted once again with a coworker complaining that she added to much waffle mix to the iron. Leaving the woman (waitress) stressed and embarrassed. She was in tears when I walked out and I promise you I will never eat there again to watch such nasty people do a coworker that way! I only give them a two because I could tell this woman was a hard worker and unexcusably mistreated!! I wish I could remember her name and have her a job waiting in the morning. This was around...
