The food was good, but the guacamole was terrible — it was old, and I think it had been diluted with oil, judging by the consistency and flavor. The service wasn’t the best; the waiter was quite distracted. He forgot to bring one of the drinks, which we only got after reminding him, and it took a long time. We ordered an appetizer that never arrived, yet it was still added to the bill (they later corrected the mistake when we pointed it out). When we finished eating, they cleared the plates and immediately brought us the bill without asking if we wanted dessert or anything else.

First time trying this place and I like it. Ordered the Taquitos Mexicanos, which was good, and it costed $14 and some change, with tax. What really stands out from the other Mexican restaurants is some of their menu items, more specifically the ones containing eggs. This would be the first time I have been to a Mexican restaurant that serves eggs. In my opinion, it is a nice option of cuisine in downtown Southern Pines.

Maybe I went to a different place?? I can’t imagine all the 5 star reviews! Food is mediocre at best. Bland. Salsa tastes like pizza sauce. Queso was watery. Rice was stale. They use the white melting cheese on EVERYTHING, but sometimes it’s barely melted. The only saving grace was our server. She was super friendly and very sweet. Won’t be back.

As we begin this story, understand that there was a little wait to be seated, but it was on May 5th, so that was really the only "downside", if you can call it that! However we have been searching gor a quality "Mexican" resturant and my oh my we have found one. It was my wife and our three children and I. It took a minute to get our drinks, but reasonable considering the density of patrons! Our kids ordered the non-alcoholic daiquiris. They were very good and the kids were excited to get large colorful glasses of frozen drinks, then.... came the awesomeness! I ordered fajitas, my wife the enchiladas supreme. My older two ordered chimichangas, one soft and one fried. My youngest ordered the kids burrito and taco. All portions were generous, and they were extremely tasty! No one had room for desert, but the entire experience was amazing! Thank you, we...

10/10!!!! Chuy’s is TRUE Tex-Mex. Coming from the San Antonio, Tx area, I’ve been longing for some good Mexican. Every restaurant in SoPines has failed me, but not Chuy’s!! I ordered the create your own combo to test out a few items. Each were delicious and very flavorful. I judge Mexican restaurants based on how well they can do rice and beans and they did NOT fall short. The chips came out warm and the salsa had the right about of spice. So freakin good. The waitresses were so kind and welcoming with quick service. They also checked on us multiple times making sure our salsa and drinks were always full. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience! You’ve got my...
