We visited on 3/3/18 (Saturday) for dinner and had the following:
Saganaki as appetizer, served with pita and it was great.
Beef barley soup, a little bland but I don't expect much from beef barley soup. I added a bit too much Tabasco and made it inedible (myself, that's on me... lol) Ribeye, done medium - was cooked well, but it was on a flat top most likely so not all the of fat was rendered to my liking. Steak was overall an 8/10, I'll stick to cooking it on my grill for when I want a real treat like ribeye. Mashed potatoes were good.
Fish and chips and chicken strips for the kids, with french fries - the batter on the fish was delicious, very crispy and the fish was good. Chicken strips were okay, pretty standard here. French fries were great, crispy and delicious; they had their frier game on point that day. The chicken strips could have been better though.
Wife had the turkey reuben with onion rings, which were also crispy and delicious. I just finished the 2nd half of this for lunch today and it was great... the turkey wasn't your regular sliced deli meat, it was a solid cut of turkey and I appreciated that, and the coleslaw was crunchy and you could tell it was made fresh.
We also had a couple desserts to go, a turtle cheesecake (which I admit I took a late night bite of last night, and it was delicious), and I had the lava cake. I'm not sure if it was because I got the lava cake to go, and the sauce was absorbed into the cake by the time I got home, but I was a bit disappointed with cutting into the lava cake and not having the chocolate sauce ooze out like I was looking forward to. Lesson learned, don't get lava cake to go. :)
Other than that the service was great and the place looked clean and open. The menu was huge and a bit overwhelming, but I could tell there was no trading off of quality for quantity... everything we had was great.
The food did take a bit long to come out at one point (probably because I ordered a ribeye), but it was worth the wait for a dinner made from fresh ingredients.
We will definitely be coming back and will tell anyone that will listen about it. lol
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention... all of the above came out to $45. I was surprised that the bottom line was so low that I tipped our...
Read moreI had the worst experience with a waitress and the worst overcooked omelette ever. I ordered the Red Olive Omelette having a taste for something a little different. First, there was no way in hell that this omelette was made out of 3eggs. It was cold and thin with finely chopped, barely visible spinach, mushrooms and avocado. I also asked this tall blonde waitress to make sure my English muffin was well toasted with lots of butter. Keep in mind, I waited at least 20 minutes before my order arrived, and I was the only customer in her section besides another couple way in the back. When she arrived with my order, the English muffin was barely toasted with a dab of butter on it. She asked me if everything was okay, and I said not really. I asked for a well toasted muffin. She chose to take it personal, "Ma'am, I don't do the cooking, I only take the orders." I said, "I understand that, but this isn't what I ordered." She offered to take it back and have them toast it some more. I rejected that offer because the muffin had already been exposed to the elements and I had already picked it up with my hands. I told her to get me a well toasted bagel. This chick never returned to my table. Rather, another young man brought me the bagel. He was unfriendly and unapologetic for the wait. Needless to say, I didn't leave a time and I will NEVER spend another dime at...
Read moreI visited this restaurant the other day, needless to say, I wasn't impressed! I ordered hummus, vegetarian stuffed grapes leaves and a fattoush salad. They served me a nice portion of hommus, but only four 1/4 slices of pita, and they charge .50 for extra bread....which I had to place three additional orders. Two of us ordered fattoush salad. The salad was more like a cucumber and tomato salad. The salad had very little lettuce in it, we asked for extra lettuce. They gave us an additional bowl of lettuce (limited amount)...by the way, they don't give you pita bread with your salad-like most places! The dressing tasted strange. The stuffed grape leaves had meat in them, I sent them back, then the waitress brought out vegetarian stuffed grape leaves that had been microwaved, I sent that back. I had to bring it to our waitress' attention that my drink was gone...mind you it was slow, so it wasn't hard for her to manage our table. I will not go back to this place, nor will I recommend it to anyone! I love middle eastern/mediterranean food....but this place is...
