From reading the reviews I thought it would be a great place to try - but after we ate there, I’m beginning to think they are fake reviews! We ordered the Captains platter ($50) and a lobster roll! And when we pulled up they had the menu outside that listed the captains platter as including 2 chowders, 2 coleslaw and 2 drinks! Yet when I ordered it the guy proceeded to tell me it only comes with 1 chowder and 1 drink - I told him what it said outside but he proceeded to tell me that’s an old menu and handed me the new one which showed what he said! But he did give me 2 chowders and we got 1 drink and 1 water! Also, while we were waiting on our food, the guy at the counter went out with blue tape and covered up 2 on the items on the outside menu! But the food came and it was a lot! However, we didn’t get our coleslaw!! But it was flavorless - the food was all one note! The very thin batter had no flavor to it whatsoever!! I tried putting on malt, salt and lemon and once I had those on, it was somewhat edible! The lobster roll was better than the captains platter! However, there wasn’t much lobster on it at all and the roll was soggy! It’s a one and done for us - we wouldn’t go back! But you can go and make your own decision- I just think we spent a lot of money for...

We had a nice lunch here over the weekend. It was busy but they cleared tables as soon as possible and service was efficient. You order at the counter and bring a number to your table; they bring the food to you. Drinks are selected from the cooler, sodas/water/juice.

We ordered clams on the half shell, lobster bisque, scallop meal, shrimp scampi and a fish sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The Clams were delicious and plated nicely with charred lemons, which was a nice touch. Lobster bisque was hot and tasty and a great size portion.

Our main meals were then delivered after a server clearing the previous dishes which was much appreciated. Shrimp scampi was great with a huge portion of pasta. Scallops were cooked perfectly and had a nice buttery sauce of sorts. Fries came in a separate dish and were very good! Fish sandwich came out hot and fresh, the roll was perfect sized and really flavorful.

We thought the prices were very fair, the employees were all super nice and helpful and there was enough variety for everyone to be happy. We will be back to try...

Another great place to share with everyone thanks to Facebook recommendations...I've been dying for some clams and there are such few places around that do real strips...WELL let me tell you if you haven't been to Mom's Nothing Fancy Seafood place YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!! First I will say the nothing fancy in the title is just that so if your looking for a 5 stars Michelin Atmosphere this isn't your place, BUT if your looking for a great mom & pop where everyone knows your name this is the place. I got the clam strips my husband the scallops, both portions were perfect. Everything was cooked very well. The tarter sauce was spot on I'm a stickler for good tarter sauce, the coleslaw is also very good. The owner Mike came out talked with people, checked in with people coming in to explain how things worked, while eating if everything was ok or did you need anything & very appreciative when leaving. I hope they are around for a long time to come because this area is in need of a good mom & pop...
