With the dozens and dozens of sushi restaurants in Dallas Fort Worth area, most of them fall under the category of good to very good. However, it’s a rare find to discover a sushi restaurant that is consistently great in all aspects, especially in the quality and presentation of the food....and Cowtown Sushi is such a place.
We have eaten here numerous times, and each time I’m reminded at the outstanding quality and taste of the food. Whether my daughters ordering chicken fried rice, or the many unique sushi dishes that I order for my wife and I, it is always delicious!
Pros: Outstanding quality of the sushi and other food! Beautiful presentation Very attentive. The Sushi Chef’s and the wait staff frequently check up on you to make sure you have enough ginger, and even ask if you would like ponzu sauce. Delicious entrées and incredibly delicious sushi. Best Ika (squid) anywhere I’ve had in the DFW area. The scallops are also deliciously prepared. In fact, my only regret is I don’t have a large enough stomach to indulge further 😄.
Please be sure to check out this gem of a sushi restaurant located at the corner of Davis Boulevard in Southlake Boulevard...in the Urban Air Trampoline...
Read moreReally disappointed with the process the sushi chefs used the last time I was there. The table next to me ordered 8 different rolls and a bunch of sushi. I watched order after order come to their table and none of mine came out. During that time the hot plate order for my fiancee came out from the kitchen. So I'm sitting there twiddling my thumbs. Another 5-8 minutes later my food started arriving. I was really surprised to see this. Usually sushi restaurants trickle out orders across their customers. Their timing was really off that night. After dinner concluded, I asked to speak to manager or owner (discretely at the cash register). Apparently neither were available so I left my cell number and asked for a callback. A week later and still no call. At a time when more competition is moving into the Southlake area (RA Sushi Bar), it's a poor time to fall down on service. I've been going there for a long time and enjoy the food, but this was VERY...
Read moreThis is a funny and interesting story!!!! Let me start off by saying, we have been a regular at Cowtown Sushi and many other sushi restaurants for a long time in the DFW area. Cowtown has great sushi.
Unfortunately the last time attending cowtown we sat down and the waiter comes over to us and informs us we cannot share a drink (coke) immediately after receiving it. If you attend cowtown please be aware you may not share a drink. Go to Sushi Sam or Sushi Zushi in Southlake, they will allow you to share a drink (we know because we went after and they laughed at our story). I do realize as a business you must make money, although at the expense of a coke we as regular weekly customers will never be attending Cowtown ever again and will also unfortunately be letting everyone know this...
