I find very few restaurants that I consider perfect in terms of theme, thematic execution, food creativity, food quality and taste, and service. Rise is in that category, perhaps leading that category. I was a big fan of the Dallas Rise when frequently visiting that area. I have also been to the Fort Worth location and been very pleased, so I was excited when I learned of a Rise coming to Southlake. This location is in a nondescript strip mall, much like Dallas’s. However, as I pulled up and saw the outside green walls, I knew immediately I had arrived at a Rise. Walk through those doors and you enter a fine French café atmosphere. We were seated on the outside patio area which does not have the ambiance of inside, so next reservation I will stipulate the location. But that was not enough to diminish the experience. Our server was wonderful and at the right level of attention. My wife had a white wine flight and I had the French red wine flight. In both cases we were very pleased with the wines selected. For starters we had the marshmallow soup and the rise salad and split them so we each had both. Marshmallow soup is just such a treat with goat cheese soufflés floating in the wonderful carrot and tomato bisque, doing their best impersonation of marshmallows. Smooth and flavorful. And the salad is just so French in flavor it is like crossing the Atlantic. I personally substituted feta for the blue cheese, and it was wonderful. For the main souffles we had the crabmeat, which was a special that day, and the sun-dried tomato. Both were perfect. For dessert we had a Key Lime souffle, also a special that evening, and a chocolate souffle. They too were done to perfection. While there are a handful of options for main courses that are not souffles, I can’t imagine visiting and having anything else. Rise was an absolutely...

My wife had a French wine flight and loved it. I had coffee. And it was fantastic. French press at table and ground just before it was brought out.
The bread is baked as you are seated and was fantastic.
We had the marshmellow soup that i highly recommend. The 'marshmallows' are goat cheese that look just like large marshmallows, yet easy to take off just a bit for each spoonful of soup. Super light and fluffy. No idea how they do that!
The souffleś practically floated off the table. Perfectly cooked. We had the Jambon (ham) and Gruyère and the herb and spicy sausage. Loved it. Surprised with how light and fluffy it was that we felt stuffed.
We were determined to try dessert so we shared the Blueberry sweet souffle. Amazing.
Comfortable atmosphere, fantastic staff, and food with great taste and cooked to perfection.
We came in on a whim for an early dinner and left feeling we had a culinary treat.
We are already planning when to come back.

The food is spectacular- light, airy, creamy and delicious. I went with a friend after mani/pedis and this was the perfect girl’s day brunch. We split an artichoke (delicious!), then I had the sun-dried tomato & pesto and she had the ham & cheese soufflés. Amazing. We capped it off with a key lime soufflé that was just the right amount of sweet. Oh - and they bring out freshly baked, steaming hot bread with whipped butter.
The service is truly top notch. Ryan was our server and he attended to our every need even before we could ask. My mom worked in the private dining club industry for years so I’m hard to impress with service, but Ryan definitely did. Honestly the best service I’ve had in years. My friend is allergic to blue cheese and he actually wrote it down to be safe. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a server do that before.
The restaurant is small and feels very intimate. I could also see coming here with my hubby for date night. He wolfed down my leftovers as soon as I got home.
All in all, I highly...
