I recently just moved here from Florida. I was in search of a good Chinese restaurant. Decided to make a trip to Golden China Restaurant with the family after looking at the reviews and to be honest we were let down. So I find myself writing this review as truthfully as can be to help others who come across this restaurant in search of good one. The food portion was a quarter of what we expected it to be. The soup (egg drop, and won ton) that came with the dinner special was not good. The egg drop soup with corn just did not sit well. The won ton soup had literally ONE won ton in it. Both soups lacked flavor. The fried rice was just slightly fried with egg and had nothing else to it. So if you are accustomed to fried rice having vegetables and more flavor you are out of luck here. The sweet and sour sauce had more color dye than it did flavor. The egg rolls were more like spring rolls and did not have a great taste to them.To end our night we ended up throwing the food away along with the $30+ we spent on the meal. Ended up cooking dinner ourselves. Truly disappointed, we...
Read moreWe've been coming here for years. But now something's gone wrong. 2 people, $31.00. Our most favorite Crab Ragoons. Hardly any crab ragoon filling. Outside fried wonton was nothing but grease. Portions are so small. Only 1 meal. We used to get 2 meals from our dinners. Thats why we loved this place. We didnt mind paying 30 bucks if we got 2 servings. White Rice tonight was mush! Egg Roles had no filling in them??? I ordered wonton soup with my dinner. Recieved Hot spicey soup, which tasted like it was burnt. Also ordered House Special Chicken. And there was something off about the chicken. We always order the same thing, but this definitely wasnt the same. I ordered Mooshu pork. It was tasteless. Thank God I had brown sauce. Also asked for a second order of fried crispy strips, was told we could not? We always do that, dont care if we paid extra.Anyone know of a new Chinese restaurant? Because we wont be coming backing to...
Read moreWonton soup "broth" was literally water. Everything was bland, flavorless, tough to chew.
Edit in response to their comment: Yes, everything! The chicken and shrimp in the "soup" were tough and flavorless. The beef sticks were tough and flavorless. The red bell peppers, onion and pineapple on the sticks were uncooked and flavorless. The steamed rice was crunchy. I love how your comment does not dispute my claims about your soup broth being just water. And for the record it's "Mr. Fisher" not "Ms." Your attention to details is astounding. I judge a restaurant by how well they do the little things, appetizers, salads, simple things like rice. If you can't do the basics how can I trust you with the harder stuff? I always order beef sticks, white rice and wonton soup on my first visit. After seeing how you prepare rice and soup I will not be returning to try...
