Learn moreIf I were rating solely based on my banh mi, I would have left at least 4 stars. The marination of the tofu banh mi was delicious, and aside from the fresh jalapeños packing zero heat, it was a good sandwich. However, this review was brought down by the sad fried rice I ordered. Having spent $16.95 on an order of tofu fried rice, I expected more than just a dull-flavored single serving of fried rice with fried tofu next to it. The amount of food for that cost didn’t even fill the whole takeout container, but rather half of it with an oversized garnish of carrots and cucumber. I’m not an amateur when it comes to Vietnamese fried rice, and I know cucumber often accompanies the rice, but the disproportionate size to cost of the rice left much to be desired. Read moreOur craving for Vietnamese food was insatiable this evening and nothing at The Great Wolf Lodge where we were staying could satisfy it. After a quick search for pho, we decided to give this restaurant a try due to the location but more importantly, a plethora of positive reviews.
When we arrived, mind you, it was 15 minutes to closing, the staff greeted us with a warm and genuine welcome. I ordered the pho combination and it was amazing! Savory broth along with fresh ingredients and herbs. My wife ordered the grilled pork rice plate and it too was superb. Being from Houston which is world famous for its food scene, I know that this restaurant is could compete with any of them along with better service LOL. Will definitely come back in the future to try their...
