First time here and I booked it for my sister's bday dinner. 9 of us. I thought it was restaurant with a bar but it was more a bar with a restaurant. Lol. It was all about prohibition era themes. Great interiors and the seating for the group was great and comfortable. Girlfriend and I arrived 30 minutes early so we sat at the bar and took advantage of the happy hour. Half priced drinks and a few very well priced food items. Ordered the Irish American old fashion and the mezcal skinny. Old fashion was far better! To eat we tried the tuna roll and it was very tasty but had too much rice in my opinion. Only one bar tender so you have to be a little patient but overall bday experience was great and I would definitely come back for happy hour! We got seated for dinner and I ordered the ahi tuna salad and steak frites. I do want to say I ordered the salmon roll from the raw bar section and it came out as smoked salmon. Idid return it as we did not want cooked or smoked salmon. It did not state it was smoked and it's under the raw bar party of menu, so I thought that was misleading. No issues sending it back though. I wanted to try the fish and chips but my mom ordered it so I would just try hers. Salad was good, tuna was flavorful, but the salad just needed a better dressing or another kick. It was average. Steak frites with truffle fries (huge amount) was OK because of the shoestring fries were addictive. The steak was ordered medium but came out well done so that was very disappointing. It made it tough and dry. I think it would have been good if cooked properly. The fish and chips were very tasty and came with steak cut fries with a great seasoning as well. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food more than we did but sometimes you win and sometimes not. The service was great and attentive. They did provide a key lime pie for the bday girl which we appreciated and I ordered the chocolate cake (they don't have the 13 layer one that is shown in website however). It was OK... all in all, I do recommend this place, especially...
Read moreIf cafeteria, meets hospital food is your vibe… you might still be diss appointed in the absolute flavorless, bland almost inedible, offerings from this seemingly, “edgy, hip, prohibition” themed establishment. The two of us ordered the Crab appetizer dip. It was severed with flavorless, oily kettle chips, which did nothing to compliment the dull, lackluster crab dip itself. We actually felt an oil base left in our mouths afterwards.
Next we ordered the wedge salad and French onion soup. The wedge was, by far, the only tasty thing we were served. It was crispy, with a lot of fresh veggies that complimented the light bleu cheese dressing…really good. The French onion soup however was like spooning up a three pack of asjus, Scillings mix…packed with corn starch and thrown on to a heap of onions and three day old French bread. Way too rich, and I DIG rich…very unbalanced and totally overwhelming.
We decide to share the “Honey truffle Chicken” for our main. We chose to split it. This plate came with creamed Parmesan spinach and mashed potatoes. This whole dish was so completely flavorless. I’m confident that my 102 year old Nana is served more flavorful dishes in her memory care home. We didn’t even finish it.
The service was great, however, as the dishes progressed, I sensed that even our server anticipated our dissatisfaction. We had one appetizer, a salad, a soup and the shared chicken dish. We did have two glasses of wine each…which was fine…Kim Crawford Sav Blanc. Our total bill was $125…the ambience was trying and maybe could have hit but the food was so bad that we left feeling like we could have spent $50 at Chili’s and had a better tasting experience.
The owners of the establishment have restaurants in Flower Mound that we have totally enjoyed. We anticipated the same quality of food and service, but we were left completely let down and had a bad taste in our mouths leaving the restaurant. Don’t waste your...

We had talked about trying this place out for months and finally did. Made reservations for a Saturday lunch for our party of 7. The graduation ceremony finished sooner than expected so we called to see if they could accommodate us showing up sooner than originally booked. No problem whatsoever with this request!
Neat entrance and decor all around, we were quickly greeted and seated. Phoenix C was our server for the meal. Brunch menu had various enticing options as did the menu. We ordered the following for appetizers for the table to share: Kanzuri Shrimp ($16), Crispy Deviled Eggs ($13), and Spinach & Artichoke Dip ($14).
Kanzuri Shrimp plating was underwhelming and portion size very small. For the price paid, we’d have been better off ordering a full entree Fish and Chips ($18) for the table to share. Everyone thought it was okay.
Crispy Deviled Eggs plating was far better. Two whole eggs deep fried and filled with whipped yolk and a crispy out layer was good but missing something flavor wise.
Spinach & Artichoke Dip was good though would’ve been better with a little more generosity on the chips served alongside the dip.
For entrees, we had the following: Chicken Parmesan ($26), French Dip ($20), Cedar Planked Salmon ($29), Prohibition Pesto Chicken Sandwich ($18), Fish & Chips ($18 x 2), and Noah’s Boy Benedict ($16). Almost all the entrees received decent reviews from our table. Only the Fish & Chips were deemed killer!
We skipped dessert as we had already made arrangements for such. All-in with tip was just slightly under $250.
Good experience but would be that much better with...
