Bambini's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Southport

I love reading negative reviews before going to a new place. The pretentiousness of some people is laughable.

So as a new resident of the greater Southport area, we like to try many of the new restaurants. Bambini's is a new favorite.

It may not be a big place, but that made it even more enjoyable. A few inside seats and several more under a covered patio. We went there on a Friday around 6. Service was fast, staff was great. We ordered their 'The Ellis Island' (Everything) pizza and a few drinks. It did not disappoint. Lots of really tasty ingredients. Would definitely order it again.

So one thing about the negative reviews. This is a brick oven pizza, not something that comes off a conveyor belt. So if you want an assembly line pizza or are picky about the crust and toppings being exactly the same every time, then go somewhere else. And this pizza is much better if you eat it on-site rather than taking it home in a cardboard box for it to sweat. That's where you'll get the soggy crust. It's awesome fresh out of the oven.

So 5 Stars for this place. We'll be returning as long as they keep...

My husband and I have been long time customers of Bambini’s and everything is always top notch. They are family owned, and operated. Each pasta dish and sauce, is made to order by their oldest son. The father & daughter duo tend to throwing pies, while the daughter also makes immaculate deserts. Their youngest son is in the dish pit or bussing tables and the mother is your hostess and head waitress. Everything is always fresh and made to order, including their pizza dough prepared from scratch. But tonight, was an extra special occasion. My son has severe food allergies and for the first time in his life, he sat down and ate a meal with us in Bambini’s as he was recently healed of his wheat allergy. He is still deathly allergic to dairy and egg, but they all communicated well to ensure he was provided a safe meal from their menu. 10/10! You won’t find a harder working family who takes pride in what they do for our community and all our tourists. Bonus points because they...

10 out of 10 would DEFINITELY recommend. This little restaurant is so good. One of the owners was our waitress and she was so kind, sweet and amazing. This tiny little restaurant was hoping. Our youngest LOVES pizza and he rated them 1,000 out of 10 before we even got our pizza because of our waitress and their decor. He stood by his rating after he tasted the pizza. He didn't care for the mini cannoli dessert, but to be fair, it was his first one and it's not his style... perfectly fair. It did not affect his overall rating. This kid is HARD (understatement) to please with food. He doesn't branch out much due to his disabilities. Cannoli was delicious and the rest of the family truly enjoyed. We got a half meat lover type pizza and half margarita pizza and a calamari appetizer. So yum! So fresh! The service and atmosphere was great. We felt like family while we were there. I truly hope everyone visits this pizzeria anytime they are in...
