I love Jersey Mike’s in general, but this location needs to do some training with its servers. They need to slow down and listen to the person ordering with the goal of making their order perfectly the way they want it rather than trying to go as fast as they can.
Specifically, they put cheese on my tub when I didn’t ask for it. They chopped it up with the meat. When I pointed out that I had not wanted cheese, they used their fingers to pick through my tub pulling out cheese and then started putting more toppings on. Meanwhile, I was trying to alert them that there was still cheese on there, but I couldn’t get their attention because they were trying to move my order forward too fast. There wasn’t really a line so this speed was unnecessary. They were asking for my payment before I knew it, and I was so flustered I just paid and got out of there even though I wasn’t satisfied.
The professional thing to do on their part would have been to remake my order, not pick through it with their fingers. And they should pay attention to the customer. Employee...
Read moreJune 24, 2020 - I have lived in Southport since 2006, I have been in Jersey Mike’s many times in the last 1+ years. Every time I go in I get a different experience. When I first started going to was pretty consistent, mind you I do not go that often. I will fast forward to last night after I left work. Mayor Hatem announced a emergency proclamation for the jurisdiction of Southport that all business are to REQUIRE patrons to wear a face mask and social distance. Last evening all the employees were wearing a mask and was I. There were two men who came in without a mask. I mentioned the proclamation to the cashier and she told me she was in agreement but they were told that this only applies to the downtown district. WRONG IT APPLIES TO ALL SOUTHPORT JURISDICTION! After I post this I will be calling the store myself. I told them I was going to write a statement and that they were part of the problem and not the solution.
I will not even write about my sandwich. Not sure what is going on with the store but they have...
Read moreThe chipotle cheese steak is absolutely delicious. A bit pricier than I would prefer since I can't keep myself from eating an entire giant sub (and giant is a fair description of their size) every time I visit, but I probably spend more when I go to Chicfila and the subs here don't leave me in an MSG food coma.
It doesn't take them long to make the hot subs. I don't believe I've waited more than 5 minutes even with a person or two having been in front of me in line.
My only complaint is the brand of root beer they serve (Harry's maybe?) is just not good at all. I saw a sign in store for it and didn't recognize the brand so I thought, "huh, must be some really tasty small batch stuff," but ugh. Just serve Barq's guys. Moral of this story: don't drink soda, it's so...
